Easy listening for the X Generation..,

I've always liked the ambient dub genre with it's unique blend of world and tribal rythms and otherworldly synth and basslines. This album is a good compilation of various styles of 'ambient dub' and mystical interludes. Just pop it in and let it play because it's the perfect soundtrack for just about anything.

With 'Max. Chillout' Lloyd Bardens @ Backroads Music.com has really put together a compilation of artist that, off hand, it's hard to think of a contender to rivel this C.D. Comprising the whole concept, he had any DJ, Musician... avialable send in their songs to compete for space on this various artist release.
What you end up with with this kind of thinking is such a wide variety of songs it took literally months to size it down to the 11 that made the cut. Not a bad track rolls off in your headphones from start to finish. Mostly new or unheard of artist though there are tracks from 'Zero One', Hibernation', Sounds from the Ground'... It's a great mix of music. I'm surprised that this disc is "so far" unheard of in the Chill Room community being such a great batch of strong material. Definitely available through Amazon and Backroads Music. Nothing to wait on. Serious grooves... |
