5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for a very BRIGT bulb!
Good: Bright and puts out a LOT of light for only being a 23 watt CFL.
Bad: Not really a bad thing, but like all CFL bulbs, take a minute or two to warm up. If you are using these in a hallway and need instantaneous light, probably not the one for you.

Overall: I use these in a display window at my office. I like them and have replaced the 50 watt...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great, while they last.
This is a wonderful outdoor spot, if only they lasted more than a year. I've had two that did not work right out of the box and three that lasted only one year. The problem with their great warranty is you have to eat the price of return shipping AND pay the manufacturer for return shipping and handling expenses, which end up costing as much as buying a new bulb. GREAT...

Overall: I use these in a display window at my office. I like them and have replaced the 50 watt MR-16 track lights in favor of a cooler and much more energy efficient bulb.

I would recommend it!

The light bulb throws a lot of white light out. It takes a second or so to come on once the switch is flipped, but the light is really good and 80% less power used. Plus they last forever basically...

3.0 out of 5 stars Long Warm Up Time, November 20, 2011

This light takes 5 minutes to warm up to full output power. It is bright after it warms up.

Not the greatest for my outdoor spotlight application. I need an instant on bulb.

All in all a good light, if you do not need the instant on ability.

A good choice if you have some extra time as it takes about five minuets to warm up and reach full brightness, light output appears to be a little less the equal to 100W incandescent in a cold climate basement. All in all, I will be getting a few more of these as they do work well and at a competitive price point.
