It does keep hot things hot for a while. It holds 910 ml, not 1,000. It has never left my kitchen but is falling apart. Buy a Thermos brand.

This is a Christmas present I bought. I was so excited when I found it because I was looking for an inexpensive thermos but all the 32 ounces and such cost so much money! Then I found this 1 liter and it was perfect!

Nicely priced thermos does the job. Pros: lightweight, well-machined, well-insulated, easy to use. Cons: when you pour, it tends to come out in a wide semi-circle along the bottom circumference, like a wide, narrow "C". You need to pour slowly. If you forget this, you'll regret this.

This is my second 1 LITER VACUUM BOTTLE. I lost my first one which I used daily for over 3 years. The bottle fits nicely in my bag. It keeps my tea nice and hot all day long. Great price. Thank you Amazon.
