I was only able to use about 30 of my last Maxell 48-count package before the remainder started gassing and became ruined with corrosion. Sort of changes your effective price per battery ...

I buy off-brand AA & AAA batteries in 50 or 100 packs; especially since everything my grandchildren play with requires batteries. I bought Rayovac & Sears brand before not expecting a real-long life; but they did fairly well. I never expected a company like Maxell to make such a lousy short-life battery. They don't even last as long as off-brands. I won't buy them again; I can tell you that much.

Good Batteries, Great Price,

I have tried this brand several times and never got a dud. They last a decent amount of time. Not as long as a duracell but certainly long enough for my daughter's toys (Which she runs down all the time anyways by leaving things on)
Don't buy no-name batteries. I tried the cheap generics from China and they are mostly junk. the shelf-life on the generics are terrible and they are unreliable at best. These batteries seem to last about 75% of Duracells and last twice as long as the cheapo generics. The best bang for the buck, by far.
