Great sound for the price,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Maxell EC-150 Stereo Line Ear Clips, Silver (Personal Computers)
I bought these headphones a few months ago to replace the ones that came with a personal stereo. Headphones usually don't last very long for me and I end up breaking them after a month or so.These headphones have held up well and I've enjoyed them. They're comfortable, stylish, cheap, sound good and provide great reception. Other, more expensive headphones may sound better, but for the price I can replace these every few months and still come out ahead!

Ear clips,
This review is from: Maxell EC-150 Stereo Line Ear Clips, Silver (Personal Computers)
These ear clips work okay, but you get what you pay for. I don't like to pay too much for these kinds of headphones because I always end up pulling on the cord and breaking a wire at some point and then having to replace them, but these were a little too cheap for me. I was surprised by how short the cord is - like 3 feet long. They would probably work okay for an Mp3 player that you can put somewhere really close to you or in your shirt pocket. I ended up keeping them because it's more trouble than it's worth to send them back, but I bought the Panasonic RP-HS43 Clip-On Headphones to replace them, which worked out better - they're a better quality, and the cord is at least a foot longer, which makes it at least possible to use them with a stereo system that can't be moved around too much. On another note, the sound quality on these is pretty poor too, but that's not surprising considering how cheap they are. All in all, I would say just pay an extra $5-$10 for cheap headphones you can actually use, but if you're okay with the super-short cord these are a steal.

The only problem is that it's just way too quiet, I can turn my volume all the way up and still can't hear anything walking through the city

No complaints yet, the cord it long enough and for the price the sound is adequate. Its hard to find this style of headphones so if you want them these are a pretty decent cheap pair.

Head Phones with a short cord,

I usually like the Ear Clip headphones, but there are a few reasons I would not buy these ones again. The cord is very short, so I had to get an extension to be able to use it with my computer. Where the cord attaches to the ear piece is on the end of the clip that goes behind the ear and thus pushes out on the ear creating discomfort. When using these headphones, I had to turn the volume way up on my computer compared to other headphones I have used. When the music was at a good level, then all the computer alert sounds were excessively loud.

Trying to replace my panasonic HS-48 headphones. These aren't in the ball park sound-wise at all. I can't imagine anyone actually liking these. No bass, almost no midrange, blaring treble. They sound like tweeters.

In case anyone is wondering because of the small picture, these are clip-ons. The design is okay, but the volume is just so low it's hard to listen if there's noise around you. Okay for the price.

I can't use earbuds, so I'm always on the hunt for the next great pair of clip-on headphones. This wasn't it. the left ear crackles if I turn the volume up enough to drown out subway noises.

For the $4 dollars I paid for these I cannot complain. The sound quality is good and they are loud enough. The cord is plenty long but is more than likely best suited for an iPod or other carry device. If ear buds suck for you then these are a great alternative, they are light and comfortable and as I mentioned for $4 bucks you really can't complain. Tip: Pull the stem out of your device gingerly, the cord can pull away from the jack if you are not careful...
