Product Description

This 10 cup capacity pressure cooker cooks chicken, meat and steams vegetables to perfection with less hassle than conventional cookware. Get all the benefits of a pressure cooker with the speediness of a microwave. This unit works just like a stovetop pressure cooker to lock in flavor and nutrients, yet goes in the microwave instead to dramatically reduce cooking time. The heat circulates inside the pot to evenly cook your beans, rice or stew; and a 2.5-qt. capacity means you can prepare a hearty meal for the whole family in minutes. White heavy-gauge plastic. Dishwasher safe. Includes measuring cup and recipes.

This is a plastic pot with lid that does not pressure cook in any way. It cooks about the same as any covered dish in your microwave, that is, faster than on a stove or in a conventional oven, but not as fast as a true pressure cooker. If you want a small pressure cooker for your microwave, try the Nordic Ware Tender Cooker, which is a small high quality pressure cooker.

It's only a covered plastic pot...period. Save your money and put meat and veggies in a mixing bowl, cover it with a plate and put it in the microwave. Anything that goes in the microwave for 20-35 minutes will be cooked...it doesn't need this "pressure cooker."

Bought so my son could have some home cooking while in college. Made steak, potatoes and vegs came out GREAT. Only problem the locking lever comes off - but pops right back in. Great for the price!
