5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL!
My husband and I are the kind of parents that used to think the loud flashy light toys are the best. These blocks proved us wrong. 3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
After much excitement about ordering these, I was disappointed because they did not interlock like other maxi blocks. These just sit on top of each other, so when one falls, they all fall apart individually instead of in sections. My kids play some, but I think they would enjoy them more if they actually locked together. And I would enjoy the clean up better for sure!

My husband and I are the kind of parents that used to think the loud flashy light toys are the best. These blocks proved us wrong. My husband ordered these blocks last year for Christmas when he was oversees among many other toys. She was only nine months so she recieved them so she just held them and chewed on them. I would stack them for her and she had a blast knocking them down. We took them out again when she was 1. She is now 17 months and hasnt stopped playing with them. They come with a plastic see through backpack for storage so she loves to put them in and take them out. She stacks them on top of each other as high as she can and then rolls over laughing after she knocks them down. And all of those expensive loud flashy toys are still sitting there collecting toy dust.

My son received these blocks as a first b-day gift and they have been a favorite of his and any kid who enters our home. They are extremely durable(they hold up to standing on them)and can be used to create all sorts of things. My 4 year old is constantly creating "castles" and "houses" for her dolls and stuffed animals. My 22 month old delights in knocking them over and is now starting to stack them on his own. We make a game out of putting them away in the clear bag they came in. We store them behind a chair in our living room and almost daily my son climbs on the chair and looks over and points that he wants to play with them. I highly recommend this toy for children 18mos - 6 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for Little Ones!, April 14, 2007
This review is from: Maxi Building Blocks- 36 pieces (Toy)
While nothing beats wood blocks (in my opinon) we had these first, and they are fun! We like that they are flexible and easy for little hands to manipulate, and not painful if they fall on you! The only downside is that they are large, and storing them in the bag is like putting together a puzzle-they JUST fit. Storing them in a toy box fills the box with wasted space; so we stack them in 4 rows beside the toy box. It's worth the hassle if you have space for them and don't mind stacking them up and teaching your little one to.

Both my boys (2 & 6) love playing with these. It's true they do not stick together at all, just stack. That does not bother them, they play and play.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Fun For Over One!! Light Weight and Non-Locking, April 6, 2008
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

The blocks are made of weak plastic and do not lock togther. I purchased them so my two year old could build a big castle or towers as he does with smaller blocks. These do not lock together so the structure never stays up well. Also the limited tyoes of blocks in the package don't allow you to create anything much.

I gave these blocks to a friend who has a one year old. I believe younger children would benefit from them more but even they might become fustrated becuase the blocks don't go together unless you do it perfectly.

Bought three sets of these for my friends little ones and he just loves them and to be honest I have a grand time playing with them with the little guy too. Can build awesome walls to show the little guy how to break down with his head and or fist like he was the incredible hulk getting ready to invade france. They are light and flexible enough where you never really have to worry about injury when they are used as missiles. Overall they are a great toy for any little person and will give years worth of fun.
