She can fall asleep without a neck pillow because her head can rest to the side.

The straps are ridiculously hard to tighten and I couldn't get them tight unless I pulled the threading from behind the seat.

The Pria70 is our second car seat for our son who is tall and heavy for his age group (22 pounds, 29 inches, 9 months). The Pria has been a complete success, and I'm so glad I waited until this one came out. I was interested in a previous M.C. model -- the Priori -- but kept reading comments on message boards about Prioris not being wonderful for large/tall children. The Pria has tons of extra room. I love the thickly padded seat, too. It is a substantial upgrade for us (we had a Graco Snugride 35 previously). The Maxi-Cosi fabric is smoother and wicks sweat away well. This was a selling point for me -- we live in a hot, humid climate and I did not like the sweaty poly-lined Britaxes available right now with the faux-velvet linings. They seemed way too hot for where we live.

Fit-to-car comments: the Pria70 fits our 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe with ample extra space. We have to move our front seats really far back because we're tall adults, so rear-facing install space was a chief concern. The Pria fit much better than another seat we tried in the Hyundai (it was an Evenflo Symphony 65, which barely squished in, rear-facing).

Rear-facing usage (update): We're still rear-facing in this seat at 3 years old, with a tall kid. This seat tops out RF'ing at 40" or 40 pounds, plus head must be at or below top of head rest. I expect for my kid, we'll max out this seat somewhere between 40-48 months, so I'm pretty satisfied with how long it allows RF'ing, which is statistically safer for children than FF'ing.

Other details that are very nice: sturdy clips that are easy enough for an adult to unfasten. Height is adjustable with the sliding headrest, no problems there. Cup holder -- love that! and the LATCH system integrates well.

Color Name: Mineral Grey Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
When I pulled this out, the very first thing I noticed was how cushy this is. Very comfortable and plush. Not just on the seat, also the sides and on the headrest. That's the key feature that continues to stand out.

We have a Subaru Outback and a precocious, almost-21 months old. She's been using the Graco Nautilus Elite for a while, and that has stood the test of time. She calls it her seat. But it has almost no padding, rather hard. I like that the headrests adjust inward and outward on the side, making for a better view, but honestly I wouldn't want to sit int that either for more than an hour.

The Maxi Cosi is definitely maxi cozy. For long car rides this can make a big difference. Both are extremely highly rated for safety, but this one does get the edge in that too. It is very easy to adjust. There's a handle on the back of the head rest. Squeeze it, the whole seat, with straps, adjusts up or down. Very easy to manage without having to ever pull out and rethread the straps. I found the straps themselves easier to tighten than other car seats I've used, but a bit harder to loosen. And the buckles are a, honestly, a bit cheap feeling (the only thing on this that is).

It's about 3 inches taller than the Graco, not just in overall height but in how high the child sits. This makes for a better view for the child, to be sure, but it may be a problem if you have a low roof in your car.

Very easy to install face-forward with the LATCH system. The straps are clipped to the side of the seat when not in use, then easily release with a buckle button. Makes it a cinch to put in and take out as well, moving this from one car to another couldn't be simpler.

UPDATE: After a year and a half of use, we still love this seat! My daughter is a tall 2.5 year old, and still fits very comfortably in it rear facing. She is completely content and comfortable, and loves her seat. She sleeps great in it, which is huge for me since I hear of so many people whose kids won't sleep in their car seats because they are too uncomfortable. I really can't say enough good things about it, and would buy it again in a heartbeat!!

Original Post: After MUCH deliberation (and 10+hrs of research), I decided to go with this car seat over a Britax for my 12 month old. The main selling point for me was the comfort. Overall, I am pleased with my decision. Here's why:

Pro's:
SUPER comfortable for my baby. I wish I had one of these to ride in! It is so cushy, and she sleeps great in it. It also reclines enough to be comfortable for her to sleep in (which I know is a big problem with other seats).

Even in the rear-facing, most reclined position it takes up LESS room front to back than our Graco snug-ride infant car seat did. I was amazed, because it looks so bulky, but we were actually able to push the front passenger seat back a little! With a small car, this is a huge plus.

It has awesome safety ratings, is tested rigorously, is very sturdy, and I feel reassured that she is very safe in her seat.

Because of the way it is designed, she can ride rear facing for a long time, which is SO much safer for little ones. She is very tall, but I will still keep her rear facing past age 2.

The cup holder! Although it is a minor detail, it makes a HUGE difference. On a Britax you have to buy the cup holder separately, and it has very mixed reviews.
