When I bought this I thought "here is another toy that will be tossed aside in days/weeks"
Well, my 10 year old daughter is inseperable from her scooter. She and her friends ride to school on them each day.
The only negative is I wish I had bought a black not purple one as black is timeless and I figure she is going to be using this a long time long time. They are a lot of fun to ride and very sturdy - I know because I have used it on occasion and I weigh 200lbs....

No doubt about it, this is a COOL scooter. So cool, in fact, that my husband wants one for himself. It offers such a smooth ride and the joystick steering is fun and different than traditional T-bar (although that option is available from the company). It seems sturdy and I am looking forward to my kids getting many years of enjoyment on it. I feel that this scooter is superior to the Razors and am fairly satisfied with the purchase.
The only beef I have with it is the price. The Kickboard folks highly tout its "Swiss Design". Well, that's all well and good but this is MADE IN CHINA. I hope the high price point is due to the scooters being made in a fair trade facility because I really don't see what warrants the extreme premium.
Overall, I'm happy with the scooter and I would buy it over a Razor. But still, I do think it is overpriced.

Highs: Quality construction. Smooth gliding wheels and suspension. Easy learning curve. Lows: Quick-adjust handle bar release became too tight to easily raise/lower the handle bar. Probably not suitable for stunts and tricks. My kids *LOVE* the Maxi Kick Scooter. It was easy for the them to figure out even though you steer by leaning and tilting the handle bar. The construction is of high quality: the solid rubber wheels absorb rough surfaces, and the bearings and suspension hold up well to abusive riding. My wife and I also appreciate the larger front wheel design because, unlike Razor-type scooters, small driveway dips or imperfections in the surface won't send your kid flying. The price is a bit high, but I when I saw the quality, and the fun my kids had on them, I knew it was well worth it. If your kids probably won't be doing any stunts or tricks, I would highly recommend this over a Razor. Note: This product is *MADE* in China and *DESIGNED* in Sweden.
