Pros: This item works beautifully. It makes lovely ground meat. The venison sausage I made with it has been getting rave reviews. It is very easy to operate. I operate it for at least 45 minutes at a time and have had no problems with jamming. I do use kitchen shears to cut the meat into chunks before grinding it, so it does not contain long ligaments that could wind around the mechanism.

In addition to how easy the machine is to assemble and operate, I was surprised at how easily this stainless steel grinder can be cleaned. I've always wanted a good meat grinder, but I have dreaded the thought of cleaning it when finished. I ran a piece of bread through the grinder when finished as the manufacturer suggested, and the bread cleaned out nearly all of the goop. After that, washing, drying, and lightly oiling were easy.

Cons/Miscellaneous: It is not quiet. I use earplugs when operating this grinder. In addition to earplugs, you'll probably want to have a bottle brush on hand for cleaning it.

Overall: I love it. Even more, I love eating the food I make with it. A good buy.

This meat grinder works beautifully, VERY easy to assemble and to take apart to wash, everything goes right in the diswasher and cleans up great. Hve ground, beef, chicken and turkey so far and have made the most delicious low fat low calorie dishes ever! Even made dog food for our Doggies with chicken. No mess at all. Get this one if you are just starting out. Will probably upgrade in the next year to a larger unit since we are so pleased with the results. going to make vegetable and potato sausage as soon as casings arrive.

First off, I want to rate Amazon's service. My grinder came missing the coarse cutting disc and they FedExed me a new box overnight. Outstanding service. I ran it for the first time today and ground up beef to make beef jerky.

Some might complain about the sound, but it packs a 550 watt motor. It won't be soft and weak. This is a workhorse. I noticed that the grind housing rocks a bit back and forth during grinding, but it grinds effortlessly so it must not be a big deal. Cleaning and assembly is a piece of cake.

This is a great addition to any kitchen as you don't really know what's in ground beef at the store. I read a NY Times article which exposed that most ground beef isn't inspected. I'll be grinding my beef thank you very much.

I was debating between this model and the Waring MG100. The Waring has good reviews, but saving $10 and getting a stronger motor made sense to me and it was worth it.

GREAT GRINDER!

I bought this grinder to process deer meat since the local bucher would was unwilling to grind it. The Maxi-Matic is all I wanted and more. It is more than adaquate to grind all the deer meat I had and was MUCH faster than I expected. What a relief from the old hand grinder. I have
no hesitation what so ever in recommendding it. I am WELL SATIFIED.

Heavy, bulky and noisy, takes a lot of place on the counter.
Lasted just a couple of months of light usage after which the output shaft just stopped spinning. Customer service is not very responsive with warranty claim, still trying to get RMA, they just do not return calls or reply to emails.

We love this Grinder - it has plenty of power and does not bog down while grinding! Meat feeds very nicely thru the auger and looks like it was done at the butcher. We last used three types of meat, and are so pleased with how easy the clean-up went. Comes apart easily and is easy to put back together!
I enjoy the fact that it is lightwieght and easy to operate.
We have used many different types of meat from fatty to lean and it has worked to perfection.
We use it a few times a month, but this Grinder is built to withstand even more useage!
I would highly recommend this product!

I've compared this model to others costing hundreds of dollars. This grinder gives me the most bang for the buck. It's inexpensive yet powerful and well-made. It's a little noisy and big and I have seen an off-center wobble. For this trade-off, it's about 1/5th the price of comparable models so I don't mind the short-comings. I bought this to grind my own hamburger meat so I could make low-fat burgers with high-quality beef. I suggest you make this an accessory at your next BBQ to make gourmet steak burgers fresh ground seconds before grilling. Why risk eating ground mystery meat?

This is the first time I have ever used a home meat grinder. My husband cut up a bunch and I mean a bunch of deer meat. Oh, first things first, I bought this for my husband for Christmas. So, guess who got to grind the first batch...ME. It was wonderful. It does not like stringy fat but it did not back up at all and I did not have to use the reverse function. I would most likely clean it after about half way through and then keep going. I would definately recommend this item.

Looks good. Some of the machine's inner metal surface is rough. The Feed Screw's center pin was not centered, therefore causes a binding wobble within the Food Tube, and a audible strain on the motor. Also, causes metal shavings. Hoping this machine is not just another piece of Chinese junk. We'll see how long this lasts.

After couple of months research, I finally ordered this Maxi-Matic Elite stainless steel meat grinder last week because of relatively good review on amazon.com. The service from amazon was excellent with lowest price and fastest free shipping, and everything seems great. But, once I got the product and opened the package, I reallized that there are only two cutting discs. The user's manual also said that there is a medium cutting disc not included with model HA-3433A. On the maxi-matic website, there is only one model meat grinder, which means the manufacturer just want you buy this product with lower price and come back to buy their cuting disc with $15, what a trap!
