5.0 out of 5 stars all pros and no cons
I searched for slow cookers and found problems in the reviews for all of them. Except this one which had only one review - not enough for a reasonable sample. Now it has two reviews, both very good. It works well, has no problems that I can find after a month of use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Continues to boil.
Mine continues to boil whether on high or warm, so I still use it, but it is not a slow cooker. Wish I had noticed this right after purchase. It would have gone back.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good!, April 18, 2011

I was looking for a non "crock pot" slow cooker since I didn't have the greatest luck with my last two. I also wanted a somewhat large cooker at a reasonable price. This slow cooker fit the bill and with no sales tax and free shipping it was a great bargain. The cooker works well and I love being able to program the exact time I want it to cook. It automatically switches to the warm setting once the cooking interval has been met. The only thing I don't like is that the outside gets really hot. So be careful with that. I've used it probably 10 times thus far...and so far so good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love my crockpot!, August 24, 2011

I have a tendency to get overwhelmed by product reviews and have a hard time ever pulling the trigger and buying the item because what if I'm one of the ones who experiences the problem all those bad reviewers have had?? I specifically bought this crockpot because it was well priced, it's programmable with automatic switch to warm mode and because it had the fewest reviews overall so I couldn't get caught up in all the negative ones. I love this crockpot! It's worked incredibly well for us. I've been using it about once a week since I bought it and I've had absolutely no problems with it. It's very easy to set and use and it cooks very evenly. It's also incredibly easy to clean as it's dishwasher safe. I let it cool completely before I put it in the dishwasher because they do say it can crack under drastic temperature changes. For the money, I don't think there's a better crock pot out there!

Update: I've had this crockpot for over 6 months now and it still works great! I've started using it 2 or more times a week with absolutely no issues. I'm so happy with this crockpot :) I want the smaller size too!

My sister bought the white one awhile ago and highly recommended it. My mom and I had been looking for one that didn't cook so fast as the newer ones so I bought myself one and my mom one. I've had it for 9 months and I love the timer and the warm function, fabulous. However I do find that it still cooks a little faster than the old crock pots. I usually set items to cook for 5 hours and let it go to warm until I get home from work.

This is a very nice slow cooker.
It is extremely simple to use and large enough for nacho dip or roast with veggies. Have used it twice now. Worked great and the roast was very tender. I love the warming feature so you can leave for work and when the cook time is up the food will be warm, not overcooked and dry, when you get home. Cant beat the price from Amazon.

So far I am very pleased with this crock pot. I wanted a crock pot that was programmable that I could set and have dinner ready when we got home from work. You set the timer with how many hours you would like it to cook, then it switches over to the warm setting. A great deal too vs the other high priced crock pots out there... when most of the time you are only paying for a "name"... I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable crock pot!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cooks hot, December 8, 2011

I've used this 4 times now and I'm fairly happy with it. It still takes some getting used to. My old slow cooker was a smaller one so the larger size might be contributing to my issues. It seems that a recipe that should take 8 hours only takes 6. The warm setting is nice but be warned that food continues cooking. So a roast that I set on 6 hours was done nicely at 6 hours but the meat was quite dry after sitting on warm for a couple more hours. I've done a Swedish meatball recipe (and it was toast), cooked whole chicken (very nicely cooked), a large roast (well done), and a medium roast (over well done).

I think I will have better luck with something with more liquid - chili for instance.

I'm happy with the unit itself - there isn't any unpleasant odor or any of the other problems associated with other units from the reviews I've read here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price, but not 100%, December 1, 2011

Good crock pot for the price. Great size. High doesn't get Hot enough. Unable to brown items or heat quickly at the start. Comes up to a medium temp and then takes quite a while to fully heat food through and cook. It is a slow cooker, but it is REALLY, REALLY slow. Lid doesn't have rubberized seal, so not tight fit. Feel like there's some heat loss due to that too. And, Wouldn't trust it to transport food. Display is nice. Buttons work and handles on sides really nice. Not too heavy to move around the kitchen. Made some really nice chili, pork and beef stew. Use it a couple times a month at least.

Seems that there are many negative comments on almost every slow cooker out there, making it a tough decision. We have only used this one 5-6 times, but so far, everything functions exactly as hoped for. Clean and quality look, food cooks just as expected. Just hope to be feeling the same way in a year ... which is about the time that many models seem to crap out.
