This isn't a machine like you'd find in ye old malt shop, but am very pleased and impressed. It doesn't weigh all that much, so you may have to hold on while mixing. The on/off switch is on top so that doesn't seem to be an issue as far as I'm concerned.

Put in smaller chunks of ice cream, add your malt, some milk and your good to go. If it gets too creamy for ya, add some crushed ice. Beats the heck out of using the blender and all the cleanup after. Has a tilt head, easy to clean.

For the price, has plenty of power and works just great.

I'm recovering from surgery that requires me to drink liquid meals. I hated using my big blender for daily meal drinks, took up to much counter space and required to much clean up. The Maxi-Matic Fountain Drink Mixer is PERFECT and I can drink my meal right from the cup. Now I can enjoy FAST fruit or veggie liquid meals. I'm really happy I found this I'll use it everyday.

Got this mixer a few weeks ago and so far I am happy with it. It blends a decent malt and is easy to clean up. Body/frame of mixer is plastic, so you have to keep manual pressure on mixer while in use but that is no big deal for me. All in all I am pleased with purchase, did not spend all that much and amazon shipped product for free. Not a bad deal for this mixer.

It has lots of power and makes some really good smoothies. Sure, it doesn't crush ice but just add crushed ice, your favorite smoothie flavor, and milk and you are good to go!

When I purchased the item there was no indication that the power requirements was 120 v not 220v. I emailed the manufacturer and never received a reply, when purchasing via the internet, it is essential to let the consumer know what restrictions or requirements are necessary to get a product to work. We blew our machine up on the first try as neither the brochure or the writeup informed us to only use 120 v
