Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Made of sturdy durable wood. The paint is non-toxic and kid safe. Approximate size from floor to stovetop/sink work surface is 21.5". The oven and microwave are each one compartment with real working doors. Extra storage space under the stove and sink area and towel racks on both sides of the kitchen. Don’t forget about the pot and pan rack above the sink, everything your child needs in their very own kitchen. The dials do not make any clicking sound when turned and the sink knobs do turn.

It is well constructed, very solid and a good size.

Like most people have reported there was some damage, but we got lucky and the only crack was on the back of the counter and after assembly it is not visible at all.

Plus, the item is warped, so the oven door does not stay shut.

I'm so glad I took a chance and bought this kitchen for my 2-year-old son. The details on the kitchen are great, the construction is sturdy thus far and it's provided hours of imaginative play. The assembly time was reasonable (I'd read reviews of similar kitchens where people said it took 3-4 hours to assemble) as it took me and my husband less than 2 hours to complete. We reinforced the pot rack bar and sink faucet with screws since these two items wobble and aren't held in place by anything. Very nice solid wood kitchen at a good price!

I bought this toy from Amazon after reading some great reviews. The price was right and the size was perfect for the small daycare home I run. The kids were so excited when it came. Then we tried to put it together!! NOTHING fit right! The pre-drilled holes were drilled on the wrong side, the screws didn't fit right, the doors didn't align correctly & the cute little bar to hang your dish towl... yeah forget that!! We would have returned it but we had 5 little children waiting so patiently to play with it. We managed to drill our own holes, finagel this and that, and make it work. We didn't get to use the bar, but the kids don't seem to care. It has provided hours and hours of fun and they don't notice the little imperfections. I hope this was just a fluke, and whoever buys this toys gets it with everything intact!! Good Luck!!

I purchased this set for my 18 month old toddler. I like that it is wooden, and that it has such a small footprint - we don't have a lot of space for large toys. My son plays with it constantly, opening and closing the doors, turning the knobs, and ripping out the faucet. Yes, he can remove it easily. It is one of two parts that need to be screwed on by the purchaser as the plastic dowel that holds it on is not up to the job. The other part is the horizontal bar above the sink, as other reviewers have mentioned. Another part that needs attention is the top corner of the oven door. It is a very sharp corner and could benefit from a good sanding to take the edge off.
Assembly is aided by a drill - it took me about two hours, but my toddler was "helping" me, so probably 1-1.5 hours if you can get some time to yourself. Good product for the price.
Also, there is one small difference from the product photo - the oven door handle is vertical, not horizontal and has hinges along the right side - it does not open like a real oven door. You could cause it to if you have the time and inclination.

I bought the successor model to this one for Christmas for my 2 year old daughter at Tar_get dotcom for less than eighty dollars (forty in shipping, natch). Our model is dark blue and the configuration is a bit different: it has real doors instead of the curtain, a back panel, and a nice set of plastic utensils and pans. It took my very handy husband about 3 hours to put it together, but he said the directions were very clear and it was straightforward to assemble. It even included extra nails, screws, etc. We had no problems with mis-drilled holes, etc. as mentioned in another review.

We are both really pleased with the quality of this wooden kitchen. It's sturdy, has a small footprint without sacrificing any necessary kitchen components, and it looks fantastic. No gaudy plastic or gender-specific colors for this kitchen. Two toddlers can play at it without an excess of shoving. We haven't had any concerns about tipping, though our girl is well past the pulling-up-on-things stage. You might want to anchor it into the wall if you're worried.

Most importantly, my daughter LOVES this set. She probably plays with it for two hours a day, and that's been for two months now. It's been fun to see her pretend play grow to encompass cooking, chopping, washing, and occasionally drilling and hammering, with this kitchen.

Absolutely money well spent.

We looked at many wood / non-pink kitchens for our daughter and decided on this one because it had the right features for the right price. I'm glad we got it. But, my husband cursed a lot while putting it together. Assembling it went well until he got to the doors / hinges. 20/20 hindsight is that he should have gotten the drill out the moment he realized there were no pilot holes. But, he struggled and stripped the tiny screw heads - mostly because our daughter was sleeping and he wanted to avoid the drill noise. He ended up giving up and going back to it the next day with drill in hand.

I would definitely recommend this (especially since I wasn't the one to put it together!) but I would scold the makers for not providing pilot holes for the screws and let all you future purchasers out there know just to plan to use the drill.

I really hate it when I buy something and it is not exactly as pictured on the product page, so I wanted to let potential buyers know that there are a couple things different than the picture: first, the oven does not open/close at the top, it opens from the left, and second, there are no utensils included that hang from the rod, as in the picture. It's a nice-looking piece, seems sturdy, and I'm hoping my son loves it.
