I really liked this book, I read it super quick, because it was really, really interesting to me. I consider myself a conspiracy theorist, I always ask myself the question, "What If. . ." It makes life more interesting! When I was enlisted in the Navy, I was a Sonar Technician...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Book!!!, May 10, 2011
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Paperback)
I really, really enjoyed Maximal Reserve. I read it in 2 days, it was that good!!

I really liked this book, I read it super quick, because it was really, really interesting to me. I consider myself a conspiracy theorist, I always ask myself the question, "What If. . ." It makes life more interesting! When I was enlisted in the Navy, I was a Sonar Technician. Some parts of this book brought back so many memories, because it talked about oceanography, and sonar. It really hit home, and I understood all parts of it! When reading this book, I could tell that it was thouroughly researched. I love when books follow a truth, and the author takes time to verify the information. Overall, it was a great book, and I look forward to reading all the books that Sam Batterman has written!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fascinating adventure into the depths of God's earth, February 11, 2011
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Paperback)
Maximal Reserve is a fascinating adventure into the depths of God's earth. Batterman's book is a combination James Bond movie and Ken Ham seminar. Entertaining and educational. And Batterman makes science fun. He presents his theories in an action-packed way that makes it all seem so realistic I wonder if it isn't happening this way right now. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the way it made me ponder the great mysteries of this planet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maximal Reserve is a Maximal Ride!!, February 9, 2011

No Sophmore jinx for Sam Batterman. Batterman follows his thrill a minute novel Wayback with this roller coaster ride, "Maximal Reserve". I agree with the previous reviewer above. This story very well could be pulled from world headlines at any moment. This is a great story for everyone, not just for Christians or lovers of Biblical prophecy. What would happen to the Middle East if there was found in Israel a vast oil reserve? Thanks Sam for another great book. What's next?

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a battle to control the world's resources-couldn't put it down!, February 2, 2011
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Kindle Edition)
I was on the edge of my seat! Although fiction, I feel that this could really be happening today...now...as we speak. Fascinating, gripping, and an amazing ride! I found myself yelling out loud as the characters fought for their lives. Stemming from Biblical prophecy, Batterman brings to life this incredible battle that we face today-the battle to control the world's resources.

It is all there, suspense, thriller, romance, murder mystery, nothing left out. My emotions were on edge, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

This book goes to show that people are not always who-or what-they seem. Way to go Batterman! I loved every minute of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like a movie unfolding!, July 15, 2011
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Paperback)
I really enjoyed reading this book, the story is captivating and intriguing, the author really describes the scenes with great detail and scientific precision. It is very easy to picture the story unfolding and the book would most certainly make a great movie, too. Finally, being a Christian, I particularly cherished this book because it sparked my interest for some issues around creation and the situation in the Middle East.

5.0 out of 5 stars What if we discovered oil is a renewable, abundant resource?, June 24, 2011
By
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Paperback)
What would you think if the information we have learned about in school on so called "Fossil Fuels" was all wrong?

What if it was more abundant that anyone ever thought and not only that but it was a renewable one?

How would that affect our world's economy and the power of those that have control over oil production now?

In the latest Christian, science fiction, suspense thriller, Maximal Reserve by Sam Batterman, uses those questions as a basis for the premise of his story. Axcess Energy is the newest up and coming company that promises that it will change the economy of the world through finding new sources for energy that would reduce our dependence on oil production.

Ripped from recent headlines, this vast and unknown oil reserve is located directly underneath Israel. If they could harness this, it would make them, the largest country to have oil over all and drastically change the way the world views Israel.

Philip Channing is hired by Dr. John Chambers to work for Axcess Energy as a geologist, to use the data they are uncovering beneath the mid-Atlantic ridge and find a way to tap into this source of oil and natural gas that lies deeper than anyone has ever known. It will be the ultimate job of a lifetime, until he discovers that people are willing to kill to keep this discovery unknown.

I received this book compliments of Bring It On Communications and Deep River Books for my honest review and actually learned so much about the new theories about oil production and what really lies beneath the earth's surface and how far science may have gotten it wrong. I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars and would highly recommend it considering just how close this book is, to becoming not just a fiction based one but a true story after the discovery made in Israel recently.

This book is available in paperback and eBook formats!

I really liked the start of this novel and the "regular guy" protagonist. I would have given it a 5 star if the ending would have been a bit less James Bond like and more real world believable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting Adventure, June 3, 2011
This review is from: Maximal Reserve (Paperback)
What a great read. Full of action...you never know what is coming next, and you don't want to put the book down...you need to find out!!

I loved the images of God's wonderful gifts to all of us. The look provided felt like I was way deep in the Ocean, and then in the Mountain in the Dead Sea. Powerful!

There is a great discovery of an unimaginable amount of oil, and a conspiracy to keep it from being found. Everything that is described sounds so possible to happen or did happen! The enemies of Israel are conspiring...as usual.

You will feel like your in a James Bond movie, with no way out! What a great movie this book would make!! Awesome!

I was provided a copy of this book by First Wild Card Tour, the opinions are my own!

Another great read by new author. Sam's research has enabled him to present some very interesting theories and a great story line. Has it all, love, action, evil men and those of principle. Something for men and something for women to enjoy. Anxiously awaiting his next book.
