This battery easily out performs other common 9 volt general purpose or alkaline batteries without issue.
It's completely rechargable in 1 hour, and runs about 30% longer than a new alkaline batteries.
I use this in a setup that requires 6 - 9 volt batteries that normally run only 5 hours on Alkaline batteries. Comparitively, NiMH recharbables only run the device for 3.5-3.7 hours.
These batteries are a huge improvement over normal alkaline and Ni-Cd or NiMH rechargables.
The price is VERY competitive and these are probably a GREAT option for smoke detectors and ANY device that runs in extremely climates. (Sub-Zero to well over 100F...)
Only the Energizer 9 volt disposable battery runs longer, but is VERY expensive to throw away.
Added benefit was that, the pipettman is lighter on my wrist. Highly recommended replacement for stress free efficient working environment in a lab.
The only negative is the charger emits a very annoying high-frequency noise when the batteries are fully charged. I'm sure it's a by-product of the switch-mode power supply in the charger, but it's so loud I can't stand to be in the same room with it. Fortunately, it's only annoying once the batteries are fully charged so that's my cue to unplug it.
Update - These were purchases October 2012 so we've been using these steadily for 5 months now and they still work as well as when they were new. I'm buying another pair with charger today, the set is only a couple bucks more than buying two batteries so it's worth it to have a spare charger.
I love these batteries, they just keep going and going.

I use these for the wireless mics at my church and they hold a charge very well, and recharge quickly. I've tried another brand and was disappointed with them for a few reasons. Read morePublished on October 24, 2013 by Bighorn
