To compare this battery you need to compare it to a disposable 9 volt battery from a major vendor.

This battery easily out performs other common 9 volt general purpose or alkaline batteries without issue.

It's completely rechargable in 1 hour, and runs about 30% longer than a new alkaline batteries.

I use this in a setup that requires 6 - 9 volt batteries that normally run only 5 hours on Alkaline batteries. Comparitively, NiMH recharbables only run the device for 3.5-3.7 hours.

These batteries are a huge improvement over normal alkaline and Ni-Cd or NiMH rechargables.

The price is VERY competitive and these are probably a GREAT option for smoke detectors and ANY device that runs in extremely climates. (Sub-Zero to well over 100F...)

Only the Energizer 9 volt disposable battery runs longer, but is VERY expensive to throw away.

The first thing you would notice is that these batteries are light. After charging you will notice their long life span. I work in a research lab and we use a pipetaid to pipette solutions. The pipetaid uses a conventional NiCd 9V battery that has short life span between charges and has the memory effect, which necessitates frequent replacement. I came across this deal and got these batteries to replace the NiCd batteries on my pipetman. They maintain their charge and don't need to charged frequently. I was afraid that I would have to recharge the battery often requiring me to remove the battery from the housing as the pipettman's charger is not designed for Li-ion batteries. On the contrary, I have been using a the battery on my pipettman for more than 6 months without the need for recharging and it hasn't been waning in power either.
Added benefit was that, the pipettman is lighter on my wrist. Highly recommended replacement for stress free efficient working environment in a lab.

My wife uses a TENS (electrical stimulator) often and it goes through 9-volt alkaline batteries pretty quick. These batteries last longer than the alkalines and recharge in a couple hours so they will pay for themselves in a month or so. And being Li-ion, they will hold a charge much longer than Ni-cads or NiMH if one of the batteries is left on a shelf for a couple months. I intend to buy another set of batteries so she will always have at least two that are fully charged.

The only negative is the charger emits a very annoying high-frequency noise when the batteries are fully charged. I'm sure it's a by-product of the switch-mode power supply in the charger, but it's so loud I can't stand to be in the same room with it. Fortunately, it's only annoying once the batteries are fully charged so that's my cue to unplug it.

Update - These were purchases October 2012 so we've been using these steadily for 5 months now and they still work as well as when they were new. I'm buying another pair with charger today, the set is only a couple bucks more than buying two batteries so it's worth it to have a spare charger.

It was fast shipping and the batteries work wonderfully for our garage remote! Very good price needless to say. Our previous experience with this brand has always been very good.

I bought these for a TENS unit I was prescribe for my back pain, the battery that it came with, would not endure the Half Hour setting on the unit. When I bought these I was able to start getting an easy 1 Hour out of each battery. That being on the most intense setting on the unit. Lesser intense settings mean less battery use, and considerable more battery time between recharges.

I love these batteries, they just keep going and going.
