I have been a full time magician/entertainer since 1994. I have shelves full of books on the art of entertainment.
You won't learn any magic tricks from this book, but you will learn so much about what it takes to be a success on stage.
It is so practical, and I am always recommending it to those who want to get in front of an audience.
If I could keep only one book out of my hundreds, this would be it.

Learn to entertain-not do puzzles., October 14, 2009
This review is from: Maximum Entertainment: Director's Notes for Magicians and Mentalists (Hardcover)
This is a landmark book for magicians. No tricks, just good, solid information on how to entertain an audience, instead of boring them to death. If you think you know everything about good magic performance, wake up and read this book. We don't need anymore magicians, we need innovative magic entertainers instead.
