This review is from: Maximum Hoof Power: A Horseowner's Guide to Shoeing and Soundness (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for horse owners and farriers alike. For the horse owner, it is written in layman's language and easily laid out to find specific areas of interest. It is comprehensive and detailed enough to serve as an excellent reference tool for the farrier.

This review is from: Maximum Hoof Power: A Horseowner's Guide to Shoeing and Soundness (Paperback)
This book packs a lot of information into a concise and easy to read format. As a full time professional farrier I believe that horse owners ought to be educated about hoof care and the role a farrier plays in the health of their horses. Maximum Hoof Power is THE HOOF CARE REFEREMCE MANUAL that I recommend to all of my clients. The Author, Richard Klemish is a highly respected professional in both the farrier the veterinary community. He is also one of the authors selected to write some of horseshoeing chapters in the veterinary textbook, "Adams' Lameness in Horses, 5th Edition."You may want to consider making this book a gift to your trainer, veterinarian, or even your farrier! |
