The flavor of this seems good but a little too fake sweet.

This is actually a great protein powder for folks looking for a gluten free, sugar free and fat free option that us pure protein.

I guess mixing it with room temperature water affects the taste.

I'm usually a little skeptical of products that wave the 'paleo' flag right out of the gate, but after trying several different types of protein isolates over the years (whey, grass-fed whey, soy, pea, hemp, etc) and tracking my bodily responses to each, I wanted to try something that wasn't veggie or dairy-based, so this is where I ended up.

Not entirely sure about the process of how they isolate beef & egg white protein, and I'm not crazy about some of the non-protein ingredients (maltodextrin and various other 'emulsifiers' for example), but it is surely a nice alternative, mixes comparably to other products I've tried, and tastes decent. I don't see too many other beef/egg white protein mixes on the market these days, so I'm not sure if this is a resurgence of an older idea, or something fairly new that never hit its stride in the marketplace.

It's worth a try, especially if you're the type of person who can have skin reactions to dairy, but hate the texture of veggie-based proteins.

Well, I started doing crossfit for about 2 months now and I'm really into the paleo diet, so I decided to give this shake a go. It tastes great and I believe it is doing its job as a protein shake but, soon after I started taking it, I started having these not-so-noticeable dot-like allergic reactions spreading all over my chest, abs and arms. So, unsure about the reasons I stopped taking it for a week, and I went back to normal. Then I took it again and the reactions came back. I'm not saying this shake is the reason, but I'm just gonna stop taking it for the time being. This sort of reactions never happened to me before.

It contains maltodextrin - a highly processed carbohydrate derived from corn, wheat, rice or potato; which has glycemic index of 130 ( glycemic index of table sugar is 65). In additon, although maltodextrin is considered gluten free, according to some it may contain traces of gluten. Do your own research.

I ordered the Paleo protein as an alternative to whey protein. I was so happy with the taste. Most importantly it is much easier on my stomach than many other protein powders I have tried.

my first ever protein supplement. Blend it to a frappe using the blender. Tastes much better than using the blender bottle. Taste a bit salty but I can't really compare it to other protein shakes. Helps with not feeling like I'm starving after a crossfit workout

I really like everything about this protein mix, but the sweetness. I have to say it is just very sweet even for being only stevia. I really didn't care for stevia at this level, and my wife enjoys stevia so she'll be finishing off this jar.

Loved it.. It delicious and of course I have to mix it with almond milk not water. I add peanut butter or fruit to add the taste.
Thank you

I like the fact that very few ingredients are used, all of which comply with my preferred paleo/primal plan. While powders aren't "paleo" per-se, they are useful.

The primary drawback with this powder is the taste. They use stevia for sweetening. I've never been able to adapt my taste-buds to stevia. It just seems "off" and "chemically" to me. If you like stevia, then this is the powder for you.

This product may be better as a base for a more complex shake--maybe a bit of almond butter or some berries would help cut through the stevia taste.
