5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book on sail technology and trim, December 28, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Maximum Sail Power: The Complete Guide to Sails, Sail Technology, and Performance (Paperback)
This book covers common sail materials and manufacturing techniques. It describes the advantages and disadvantages of each material. Advanced sail trim techniques are also covered. The single most useful and complete book on sail trim and sail materials I have come across. I do own many books on this subject and "Maximum Sail Power" is by far the best!

This review is from: Maximum Sail Power: The Complete Guide to Sails, Sail Technology, and Performance (Paperback)
Are you looking to power up your performance as a cruising or racing sailor? Add this book to your "must have" nautical library. It explains how sails work, how to control draft in all wind conditions, shape your sails for power and speed, and care for your sails to make them last longer. Clear and well written, Hancock talks to the reader in layman's terms. A great read!
