This exceeded my expectations by far. The sword is amazing and the decals look great too. I bought this to use in a Halloween costume and it is going to work perfectly for it. It included a strap that goes over your shoulder, and the strap is made of leather so its pretty durable.

The blade IS NOT SHARP so out of the box it could be used in a costume but it can be sharpened if needed. It is made of 440 grade Stainless Steel as indicated on the blade. It has some good weight and can swing a pretty hard blow. I posted some pictures so you can get an up close look of this blade.

The quality is good, not great but that is what I expected. Overall it worked great as a costume piece and it impressed the guests. The latch that is used to hang this across the shoulder comes undone very easily and I ended up having to modify it to keep the sword from unclasping and falling down.

I purchased this sword just to hang on my wall. For 60 bucks you can't beat the price. I did have a sticky film covering the entire blade but I was able to remove it with leather luster cleaner. You should be able to find it at a boot or leather shop. Then I polished it with a metal polish and it shines perfect.

Just received this sword today. I do have to say that when I opened the box I was surprised at the size of this sword and it looked awesome. Upon closer inspection the decorative metal piece on the scabbard that holds the leather straps had come lose from the scabbard. It's glued to the leather. I'm not going to return it, because the hassle of repackaging and dropping off to UPS just isn't worth it. I'll find a way to reattach (glue) the piece back onto the leather. It's unfortunate because this is a really nice replica for a Roman sword. Other than the defective metal piece, the scabbard isn't to bad.

THE QUALITY OF THE SWORD WAS VERY GOOD.IT REALLY LOOK'S LIKE THE REAL SWORD THAT WAS IN THE MOVIE GLADIATOR.

Sadly, this piece arrived witht he pommel broken and the sword, sheathed in the scabbard had some type of adhesive substance covering the entire blade, so much so, that I could not even retrieve it from the scabbard. Total dissapointment and apparently zero QA done on this piece. It's too bad - the pommel and piece would've made a decent prop for my gladiator costume for Halloween. I believe this is the 2nd such review for this item - buyer beware!

This was the second of two swords I purchased for my husband as a surprise. The surprise was on me because when I received this sword there was some type of sticky syrup-like substance all over the blade. We tried cleaning it, but nothing worked. I sent it back for a refund.

I wasn't expecting too much from this sword. It is just a prop. The blade isn't sharp and it is really unballanced and doesn't hold up well under close examination. The shoulder harness is difficult to figure out also. But still, an excellent sword to display or use as a prop.

This was a perfectly smooth transaction. the quality of the product is perfect, the shipping was immediate and it was packaged well. Very satisfied!
