So many features and is wonderful for overclocking.

I give it 3 stars because it performs as good as my Maximus v extreme, but I expected it to be better.
Mad Minute
Makes my skin crawl, I'll never buy another ASUS product again.

Ok I'm going to keep this short and sweet. all these other reviews are more like novels..

Pros:
Awesome board with all the bells and whistles.
Very nice looking board with plenty of room for components
built in MPCIE dual port with WiFi and Blutooth 4.0
Deamon tools included free

Cons:
THE PRICE!
OC Panel is pretty lack luster, serious OC-ers will not have a need or real use for it.

All in all, if you have the money to blow and will be doing some serious OC-ing get this board. Otherwise do not buy this board, Id suggest the Maximus VI Formula when that gets released.

All I can really say is I would love to buy the man or woman who designed this product a drink. Very simple to install and operate. It even comes with a very handy "how to" guide. Just perfect all around.

Easily clocked to 4.7 ghz using an unlocked I7 4770k. Be certain all components are compatible. Setting up this rig requires some reading. However this is the absolutely best motherboard on the market today. The newest technology was used on this board. The built-in wireless router allows for streaming of games in next-generation video cards. This is simply the best money can buy.
I keep finding features on this motherboard. I installed the optional Thunderbolt card, and built a hackentosh!
with all the SATA connections its great for building a NAS for streaming videos.
Asus released new BIOS to make this board compatible with the Haswell refresh i7-4790K. The PCIE-Express slot is great as it does not reduce the x16 lanes for video cards. I have the expansion card installed for the Thunderbolt and a video card that is installed still x16.
VGA Hotwire from 2 points, from the motherboard of the OC display!
The OC panel comes with an additional 4 PWM fan mounts, crazy amount of fan mounts and USB ports! 8 x USB 3.0 ports (2 at front panel, 6 at rear panel)8 x USB 2.0 ports (6 at front panel, 2 at rear panel)
Downloadable apps via google Play lets you control your computer remotely and do DLNA streaming!
PCIe x4 slot connected to Z87 PCH for memory overclocking
All fans independently controllable
Fully functional AMI UEFI BIOS that includes mouse support and support for 3TB+ drives
There are six expansion slots on the ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME, all of which are PCIe-based. Five of them are full PCIe x16 slots and one is a PCIE x4 slot, but it too can accept a fully sized PCIe x16 card if need be. The DIMM slots each support DIMMs of up to 8 GB in size and feature T-Topology2 to enable better performance and higher overclocks.

You don't need this but you know you have to have it. This is absolutely the best, very top end motherboard from ASUS. I'm using it in a water cooled system for overclocking RAM, CPU etc. With an SSD and all the features of this motherboard, I can boot from power to Windows 7 64bit desktop in Baotou 20 seconds. Stunning.

I bought this motherboard to replace my broken gigabyte z87-OC motherboard (that was $200).
I decided to buy a high end board and give it a try.
I am a gamer, and this is my perpective of things.
the OC panel is not that useful, but it looks great in my case (nzxt phantom)
asus boards do not have that great of a bios, and the bios is not that good compared to competitors such as gigabyte. (this is based on the UI)
AI suite is quite useful, but I like the old school bios overclocking.
speaking of software, the software that is included is amazing. It gives you 1 year of Kaspersky anti virus, and it was so good that I stopped using Norton completely.
Also the NGFF wifi + bluetooth card is amazing. I no longer need my wifi card in my system.
It is a great motherboard overall.
Other reviewers had issues, but I have had zero issues so far. (I've had this for a few weeks)
Is it worth it? I guess its up to you.
It is very pricey, but it has all the bells and whistles to make up for the price.

Way too many parts. I bought 2 from store and 1 from Amazon. Guess what? All missing parts. Frustrating thing is, by the time you realize something is missing, you are half-way to your build. Asus offered no help, just tell customers to contact the source. So I have no choice but returning. Why so many boxes with missing parts? No idea, either Asus bad quality control, or people keep stealing from these boxes, or someone took the parts and return and go back to the shelf for the next victim. How difficult for Asus to put a label seal on to a $400 motherboard box?
