It's odd that I'm a big fan of tactical gear and equipment and this is my first product from this very popular manufacturer. I bought it because of online recommendations when I was looking to thin down my wallet. I'm glad that I did - I had one of those humongous leather tri-fold jobs that would hurt by butt all the time and would hurt my back any time I sat down to long. I even found myself taking my wallet out and putting it in my desk drawer at work, which is pretty dangerous. I shopped around and got this- it took a major thinning of what I could carry, mostly the spare car key and a half dozen cards from businesses that would have been in my phone if I wanted to be able to call them. After I got the essentials in, I probably have about 8 different cards in it and I fold up paper money and put it behind the ID's, I was pleasantly surprised. This wallet is much more comfortable than I ever knew it could be. It is also well constructed, and 6 months of having it I'm sure it's gonna outlast all the leather ones I ever owned.

The Maxpedition Micro is made with military grade ballistic nylon and is fully seam taped. It's rectangular dimensions are just a few millimeters larger than a standard credit card. It has one clear window inside for ID, and two slots on the other side for a few cards and cash. There is also one exterior slot for frequently accessed items.

In my wallet, I now only carry my Driver's License, Insurance Card, Bank Card, Library Card, and paper currency folded in half. My coins I carry in a coin purse. My store membership/loyalty cards I have transferred to a smartphone app, or onto those mini-cards that fit onto one little keychain. Everything else is with the relevant associated gear, like gym card is with gym bag, scuba card is with scuba bag, airline cards with my luggage.

This is my choice for a simple, bare minimum front pocket wallet that lies flat and unobtrusively. It is far more comfortable and secure than the back trouser pockets or a coat pocket. I find that it gets the job done for 95% of my wallet needs (the other 5% I use an expensive dress pocketbook).

I've had mine for about 2 years now and it has held up well for everyday use, traveling and in the field. There is nothing really to break down. It's been accidentally immersed in water a few times with no detriment. It's so small and lightweight that it can fit inside my hat, or in my passport organizer. Really, the only way you can much more minimal is to wrap your ID, cards, and cash in a simple rubber band.

Maxpedition makes innovative, high quality products. This is just an example of their simple, rugged yet practical side.

Good wallet for front pocket carry, has plenty of room.....more than you might think.
I have my military, concealed weapons, drivers and work I.d. in there along with 3 credit cards, numerous insurance cards, a sams club card and cash. its still as slim as when its empty. rugged, will last for years and does not look like something a 12 yr old would carry. highl recommend.

I have this as a " run to the store" wallet and its perfect for just 3 cards some folded bills and your ID, insurance and business cards. Its 1000-Denier material is a nice water resistance or in my case sweat resistance. I keep mine in my shirt pocket all day and my little paper notes stay dry. way better than my old little wallet I had. Its a nice little thing.

3.5 stars. Use it daily for three months and still using. Great quality but some design flaws. The outer pocket is bit loose and my card there has, on occasion, slipped out as I took out the wallet. Due to this, I'm hesitant to put any card of importance there. Inside is fine, however, it is awkward to place dollar bills in it, as you have fold them in thirds it to fit and be able to close the wallet. This can become quite thick, contradicting why most would purchase this wallet, if you carry more than a few bills.

I've been using this wallet for a while now and it's fantastic. I had a much larger wallet before and had been looking for a way to simplify and slim down what I carried and this was the answer for sure.

It's constructed very well and very slim. The ID window has stayed crystal clear and there hasn't been any transfer from my ID like I have seen in other wallets I have owned.

The Micro Wallet is meant for daily carry of the basics. It has a clear window for your ID, two internal card slots, and 1 on the outer back-side. The black 1000 Denier is coated with Teflon according to a tag that came on it. When you look on the reverse-side of the fabric which is really only seen where the inside of the wallet folds, you can easily see how well the fabric appears to be sealed. It should be fairly resistant to wetness, not water-proof but if you splash water on it or have an extra humid day your cards should remain dry. The Denier is very stiff, almost to the point where it seems like it'll be uncomfortable to carry. I know in time with wear and break-in it'll be just fine. The stitching around the edges are very tightly reinforced and are double-stitched. The card slots allow about 1/2" side-to-side play when you have debit/credit cards inserted but they do not slide side-to-side easily. Once I had my wallet loaded with ID, 2 bank cards and a proximity reader card, it closed nice and thin and felt light but not too light. I think there is just enough heft there to realize your wallets secured in your pocket without feeling for it. It's low profile enough to front pocket carry (which is what I want to start doing).

This wallet seems like it would last me longer than any wallet I have ever had, hopefully I don't get tired or bored of it like I do with so many of my items. The price seems a dollar or two too high but then when I consider the length of time I might be able to use this thing for it really doesn't bother me at all. The only feature I have a concern about is the plastic window for the ID compartment. With other similar wallets I have had that piece of plastic turn yellow or stained and get quite ugly.
