There's nothing wrong with the book, other than the fact that amazon labels it as a hardcover book when in actuality it's a board book. Those are two different types of books and a huge difference because I find the board books annoying--pages are hard to turn and they take up too much room on a bookshelf. Otherwise, it's a fine book.

Another winner for Rosemary Wells. Max's Worm Cake is a board book which will be loved by children asking parents to read it over and over again. Ruby plants a flower garden for her grandma, but is surprised by the "yucky" worms in the soil. While Ruby plants flowers, Max gathers all the worms to make a Worm Cake. Grandma arrives to admire the lovely garden. She asks Max what he made? "Worm Cake!!" he happily replies. Ruby states she does not like worms cake. Grandma explains that worms are good for the garden and suggests Max put the worm cake all around the flowers. Book should encourage children and grandmas to plant a flower garden together.

My son doesn't watch much tv, but he will watch Max and Ruby. It's a short book, but he likes it. Wish there was a bit more to it though.

This is a cute little story. We always enjoy reading what Max will get into next. Adults will laugh at the antics Max as he continues to do exactly what Ruby does not want him to do.
