5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good
Being a coffee snob, I initially laughed at the idea of buying Maxwell House for my Tassimo but after reading some positive reviews I decided to give the MH Cappuccino a try. I was shocked to discover that I prefer it handsdown over the Gevalia cappuccino, and it is a lot cheaper. For $0.79 a drink I can have a satisfying cappuccino that feels like I am indulging. It...

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost, but not quite
After reading reviews very carefully, I started with Maxwell House
Cappuccino and Latte on my new machine. I watched in amazement while Tasimo brewed them.

After seeing my cup getting topped with a frothy creamer layer, my expectations from cappuccino grew. I expected that frothy texture to permeate the whole cup. No, it had not. After a few...

It has an adequate amount of foam on top, and a nice creamy smooth beverage underneath. Would it beat a coffee house cappuccino in a taste test? Probably not, but until coffee houses start selling $0.79 cappuccinos I will happily drink this version. My husband who hates strong coffee (and "fancy" coffee) thought it was great as well. A real winner in our house!

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost, but not quite, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Maxwell House Café Collection Cappuccino T-Discs for Tassimo Systems - 40 ct. Case Package (Kitchen)

After a few sips frothy layer was gone, the taste and texture of my cappuccino was the very same as the taste of Maxwell House latte, only a bit stronger, until I discovered how to make it less strong.

Is it as good as a cup of cappuccino I order from my local coffee shops? No it is not. It will be a whole lot more economical after some 40th cup, considering the initial investment.

Whenever I get my lattes from a coffee shop, I always ask for extra foam. Maxwell house latte formulae was nothing but espresso with 2% heated milk added. No foamy texture. Tasty? Yes.. Comparable in experience to real lattes? No.

In short taste-wise they came close to what I am used to drinking at my favorite coffee-shops. Texture-wise they disappointed me.

Now that I have my Tasimo for the first day and have been playing with my MW t-discs. One thing I noticed disappointed me deeply. The amount of unrecyclable plastic waste products these single cup coffee makers seem to generate. How come these single discs/cups are not made up of recycleable plastic material? This was an important concern for me causing me to reduce the overall rating of MW t-discs.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME Cappucino, November 25, 2008
This review is from: Maxwell House Café Collection Cappuccino T-Discs for Tassimo Systems - 40 ct. Case Package (Kitchen)
I really didn't expect much from this product. I am a daily drinker of cappucccinos and was not impressed with the Gevalia. I half-heartedly purchased this as a last ditch effort and was completely taken by surprise! I really didn't think Maxwell House could pull this off-but they did. Smooth and rich and really does remind me of my schooling in Rome! I also tried the French Vanilla by Maxwell House which was good-but the cappuccino was really amazing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Maxwell House is the best!, July 18, 2009
This review is from: Maxwell House Café Collection Cappuccino T-Discs for Tassimo Systems - 40 ct. Case Package (Kitchen)
I love Maxwell House's Tassimo Cappucino. It is the best. I buy Gevalia's decaf cappucino, also excellent but more expensive. If you want to try MH, buy one package of 8 servings at your local Target for about $6.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best tasting option for the Tassimo system, January 27, 2009

Out of all the T-disc choices available, the Maxwell House Cappuccino and Latte are my favorites. I initially tried the Maxwell House discs because of the signifcantly lower cost than the Gevalia Cappuccino, and as an added bonus, found that I far preferred the taste as well. As a previous reviewer mentioned, for those who like a more robust coffee flavor, any of the Tassimo Cappuccinos or Lattes greatly benefit from using two espresso discs with one milk disc. This necessitates purchasing an additional package of 16 espresso discs to use with every two packages of Cappuccino discs. When I first got my Tassimo a few years ago, Maxwell offered packages of standalone espresso discs; but these have sadly been discontinued, and the choices you are left with now (Gevalia and some other European brands) are all less robust and more expensive. That said, I use Gevalia espresso for my extra disc, and can attest that while each of the discs is brewing, the one that captures your attention with lovely coffee aroma is the Maxwell.
