alternate takes of the second record,

A very interesting collection of songs. It is believed that these takes are from around Oct. 1967 at the TTG Studios, whereas the takes on the second album "Strictly Personal" were recorded in May '68 at Sunset Sound. In any case the material is very strong and is well worth investigating. More bluesy and somewhat more conventional than the "Trout Mask Replica" album but more experimental than the first album, "Safe As Milk".

Excellent Beefart compilation album of out takes from the 60's. Outstanding versions of Safe As Milk, Trust Us, Gimme Dat Harp Boy and Beatle Bones N' Smokin' Stones.
