This is an adventure game by Klaus Teuber. You never gave up. Although all your possessions and property were lost during the journey into the new homeland, you have succeeded: Your are a settler of Catan. You began with not much more than your two hands, and each day brought you new experiences. Hunt for bears and wolves? Rooms of chests and furniture? Work on hides? No problem any more. Now however, you're sick and tired of excursions over the island. You want to be established, have a roof over your head, breed sheep and sow grain. In addition you need the assistance of the settlers from the village. Said and done. You give a sword to Jared and get a bag of seeds in return. Osmund needs chests and you get sheep. Candamir would like new windows and helps you with the building of a house. Your return again and again to the wilderness, hunt bears and wolves, collect honey and rare herbs. But be on guard: Bears and hungry wolves don't just let you take their skins, poisonous snakes slither through the undergrowth and behind many a tree lurks savage robbers. Does this frighten you? Never. Settle on Catan, the adventure awaits. The game is for 2-4 players and takes about 75-90 minutes to play.

If you supply a sword to Jared, he will give you a bag of seeds in return. Osmund needs a new chest, and offers you some sheep. Candamir would like new windows and can help you build your new house. Again and again you head out for the wilderness, hunting bears and wolves, collecting honey and rare herbs. But you must be cautious!

I am a big fan of all Settlers and the expansion, Cities and Knights, so I was very excited to play this game. But just as a warning it is very difficult to learn at first. They have a website, however, that will teach you how to play the game step-by-step.



It is a great twist on the Settlers games (for those of you who play often - like us). You gain resources and ingredients by moving toward a "goal" spot you have chosen or by acheiving adventures. Your player has specific abilities such as charisma and agility giving you the ability to fight off bears or save fellow knights.



Another big bonus is that, unlike the other Settlers games, you can play this one with just two players. It really is a fantastic game.

I am such an avid fan of the Settlers series. My family and I have been playing it for years, I laugh as I think of our old game pieces compared to the new versions that I have seen. I was looking for a strategy game to enjoy with just my husband and I that was different from the Settler's card game (a decent choice- but one we already have); so we decided on Candamir and Dominion. After playing both, it was evident that this version of Settlers was way too complex and had too many little pieces to be worth the set up. Now, when given the choice, we choose Dominion every time.

This is a great 2-4 player game! I found this game because my husband is interested in adventure computer games. This is something we can enjoy together. My husband and I learned how to play during a rainy Saturday afternoon. Great online tutorial.
