From School Library Journal
Grade 4-8-Two adequate biographies that chronicle the subjects' lives and their contributions to the American public. While the name Ross Perot is certainly a household word, Maya Lin, the young architect who designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, may not be as widely known. The well-organized volumes are clearly written and will be useful for reports; Malone's volume will be especially helpful for units on women, the arts, and/or Asian-American studies. The black-and-white photos are appropriate and aptly placed, but not well reproduced. Still, both authors give good introductions to these noteworthy people.
