Tired of finding tiny beads all over the place? Never fear. These 30 large, brightly colored wooden beads will not get lost in the carpet. In five easy- to-grasp shapes, Lacing Beads invite you to pick them up and explore--both manually and visually. Each shape is paired with a particular color: blue disks, red half-spheres, yellow blocks, green oblongs, and orange cones that look like moon-landing modules. Each block averages about 1 to 1.5 cubic inches in size. And, with holes that are 0.375 inches in diameter, they're easy to string. There are two lacing cords, each about the thickness of a shoelace and 45 inches long (perhaps a bit long for younger children, as tangles can prove frustrating).
