Very Important in the history of Maya Studies, with the first publishing of the Grolier Codex (the authenticity of which remains disputed). Also important on Maya writing and drawing, with top rank scholars. Co-Author is Justin Kerr, before his use of roll-out photos. Many drawings are in "roll-out" style, and it is interesting for that reason alone.
The one offered for cheap here in German is not this book, but is "the Maya" by Coe. It is available in many editions, but this is only one I have seen in German. |
