I was skeptical at first, and figured the worst I can do is get a cool calendar. But I was truly impressed with the photography that brought to life the mayan spiritual feeling. The book explains the meaning of the calendar, and along the way one gets a glimpse into mayan culture and philosophy. Highly recomend if you are interested in the subject matter.

If you have family or friends that are interested the Mayan culture orin what will happen in 2012 this is a great book and calendar all wrapped up in one...the author will walk you through a full explanation of the 20 Sacred Glyphs, the 13 sacred numbers, and their meanings, as well as how to interpret the significance of each calendar day, all in a full 12 month Gregorian calendar, filled with beautiful illustrations and photographs. A great addition to any library or as a desk calendar...I bought 4 one for myself and 3 as gifts....MAYAN CHOLQ'IJ: Sacred Teachings and Calendar 2009

This is a very useful guide for using the Maya Tzolkin calendar, Cholq'ij in Quiche Mayan, that shows and interprets the Maya calendar day assigned to the Gregorian calendar day. I highly recommend it for integrating Maya wisdom and rhythm into one's daily life.

This author successfully captures the essence of the Mayan culture in this work of art. This is much more than a calendar. It's paper, print, photos and context magically resonate the ancient wisdom and myths of the Maya. I was transformed by reading it and transported to a place and time of innocence and mystery.

This is a very well written, very informative book & calendar. The photos are beautiful. This is a very useful tool that can be applied to every day life. Very easy to use. Everyone should have this book in their household.... You will not be disappointed. Great job Gg.

This is a very special spritual book. I use it as a daily guide. The photographs are so beautiful and the history of the Mayan culture so interesting. I am a teacher and plan to use this in my classroom.
