This is a good comedy with an excellent cast. It deals with an issue that is very much in discussion at the moment: the working woman's wish to have a baby. The movie can be credited for not representing a specific viewpoint on the subject. It does not take sides but shows the problem the concerned couple has to face. I primarily bought this DVD because I am a big fan of Dabney Coleman but Jeanne Curtin as the baby craving career woman is equally brilliant. I feel her character accurately represents a certain type of woman, even if some of her histrionics may to some appear to be somewhat over the top. Actually, Maybe Babe calls for a sequel.
