One GREAT Song!,

Paul McCartney's version of "Maybe Baby" is one of the best cover songs he has ever done. Produced by Jeff Lynne, Paul's version of the Buddy Holly song would be right at home on a Traveling Wilburys album. What a shame that Paul never made a record as a member of the Traveling Wilburys with his former bandmate, the late George Harrison. As for the "Maybe Baby" soundtrack album, it's very much a mixed bag. "Pump It Up" by Elvis Costello still rocks the house down. George Michael turns in a very heartfelt version of the Bonnie Raitt song "I Can't Make You Love Me." On the other hand, "Do The Strand" by Roxy Music sounds like it should be on the Rocky Horror Picture Show album. The rest of the songs vary from barely listenable to pretty good. "Maybe Baby" is a must have for collectors of Paul McCartney's music. For the rest of you, you can pass this album up.
