Book Description

Maybe He's Just an Asshole is the insightful, inspirational and HILARIOUS dating guide women have been waiting for. In a world where most of the dating rules seem to have been written from the perspective of the penis, Halle Kaye and Sophie Stone show women how to approach dating from a position of strength and leverage, not from a place of desperation and weakness. Do you wish you had more power/control when it comes to men and dating? Read the book today!

(Oh, and the best part: no rules, games, or bitchiness required.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: if you decide to review this book below, please use the term "ahole" in your review instead of "a**hole" or "asshole" or it might not publish. Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars rocks my expectations! February 14, 2012

hysterical. smart. super inspiring. all this time, all we've had are the rules or why he's just not that into me. how depressing. it's always about him and what he wants and my sitting in some corner being a servant to him. i want mroe. and i deserve more. i read this book in one sitting because i couldn't put it down. it's super funny but it's more than that. it's SO SMART. it's like my smartest, wisest girlfriend is giving me GOOD ADVICE about how to find the man of my dreams by being my BEST SELF. i'm done with aholes. i'm also tired of being an ahole to myself. i truly want more from this life. this book really helps - it gave me so much hope. and it made me laugh really, really hard. great antidote to all the valentine's nonsense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ladies, do NOT date without owning this book! October 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
What a refreshing, insightful, hilarious, instructive book to read, when it seems like so many dating books and articles are only about how to meet a man, how to keep a man and make him happy.

The format of the book is absolutely wonderful as it uses real-life situations to dispense its nuggets of wisdom. As I read through it, I found myself nodding my head as I remembered the scenarios I endured with the last two jerks I dated. Reading the analysis of the men's horrible behavior helped me realize I was not the only woman who has put up with unacceptable behavior, which was very validating and healing. The anecdotes also made me laugh my butt off because the authors mince no words is their a.h verdicts.

But the best thing about the book other than laughing? It's simple, common sense principles at the end of each case analysis teaches you what to look for, what to do, and how to kick out your insecurities so **you** can take back your power from the scum bags you will definitely meet.

I will be keeping this book in my Kindle as a very valuable reference tool for when I jump back into the shark infested waters of dating. Ladies, you can't date or be in ANY relationship without owning this book! You MUST get this book! It is required reading for any woman in the dating world.

This is the best book I have EVER read on dating. I am so grateful to the authors. They have done such a huge service to women in writing this book. I only wish I had found it sooner; I would have been spared so many tears, so much grief, so much humiliation, and so much heart ache.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe You Just Need Someone to Tell You He is... August 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Look, unless you're considering "Maybe" for someone else, you probably already suspect you have an a-hole on your hands. Do you really need someone to tell you? YES!!!! I did, anyway.

"Maybe" throws away the self-help paradigm of trying to adjust yourself to his expectations (new clothes, new hair, flirty tricks, blah blah blah) and asks, "Um, is he even worth it? What is it you're really trying to catch?" This isn't a manual for understanding men from a man's perspective. This is about understanding that some people are legitimately toxic and that you deserve so much better. Chiefly, "Maybe" encourages you to embrace your instincts (aka the b.s. detector) and helps you understand very specifically WHY your instincts are right.

Kaye & Stone are like catty, hilarious girlfriends in your living room after the second glass of wine, and you'll find yourself both nodding and laughing at most of what they have to say. There's something liberating about having an a-hole rating assigned to a behavior you all-too-well recognize. It's a short book, and you won't identify with every single scenario (I hope not, for your sake), but well worth the time & money (I read it in about an hour on my Kindle app). When Kaye & Stone gave my very recent ex a rating of "7" on the a-hole scale AND gave me a real breakdown of his probable motives (spot on, btw) AND what made those motives so jerky, I just immediately felt...better. I already knew the answer -- but I had never had it said to me in quite that way.

If you're looking for a book to change your perspective from blaming or changing yourself, to helping you understand why sometimes it's really, really best to run (not walk) in the other direction, give this awesome book a go.
