An essential and overlooked (in English) cartoonist,

This is one of the few translations in English available of Konig's work. He's laugh out loud funny and insightful about gay culture and the politics of sexual orientation. He's virtually untranslated, but his books have sold millions of copies in Europe, and for good reason.

Found book quite by accident. However, I am glad to have purchased it.Book is food for thought. Interesting read that has many qualities that I admire. To name a few, it is -- humourous, realistic and even stimulating. You get to feel for the characters and I do hope more books of the author become available in the states--and soon!!

Here it is, finally available in a competent English translation: Ralf König's comic "Der bewegte Mann", or "Maybe, Maybe Not". This is one of the top-selling German comics of all time, and a movie was made out of it which also became one of the most popular movies of the 1990s. Hats off to Jeff Krell for doing such a fine job on the translation; it's every bit as funny and knowing as the original.
