5.0 out of 5 stars So Disappointed That They're Discontinued :(, January 25, 2009
This review is from: Maybelline Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencils - Charcoal Grey (Health and Beauty)
These are my favorite eyebrow pencils. I have black hair and Charcoal Grey was the perfect color for my eyebrows. Not too dark, not light, not too brown. It wasn't waxy and they made my brows look natural. I've even had strangers ask me how I do my eyebrows. They were so surprised that I used an inexpensive brand like Maybelline. I even had a woman at an Estee Lauder counter tell me that my eyebrows were the perfect color and she was also surprised that it wasn't some high end designer brand of cosmetics that I used to perfect my brows. I'm SO sad that these are discontinued. What a horrible mistake, Maybelline! Now I have to find an alternative. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edited to add:

So I think I found a replacement for these pencils! They're Maybelline Define-A-Brow pencils in Dark Blonde. The colors are almost identical! You don't have to sharpen them because they're automatic pencils. It was easy to use, the pencil is very thin so you can make your eyebrows as light or dark as you want them. They're about $6.49. I think that's about how much I paid for them. I think they'll last for a long time because the pencil is fairly long. Make sure you don't turn the pencil too much and make it too long. It tends to snap because it's so thin. Go out and try it! Hope this helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Call Maybelline, November 9, 2009

The bottom line why they discontinued this color was poor sales. That's what "Lorie" at Maybelline told me. My question is, how can they see an increase in demand if the product isn't on the market? She was very understanding, and well aware of all the complaints. All input is forwarded to Marketing. The only way we'll get this color back is by HOUNDING them with phone calls. Please take a moment and let your voice be heard by calling Maybelline at 1-800-944-0730. I bought a 3 year supply of these pencils here at Amazon, to which Lorie replied, "Wow!" Let's make some noise!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybelline Fails Their Customers, November 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Maybelline Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencils - Charcoal Grey (Health and Beauty)
Maybelline really showed a lack of consumer awareness when they discontinued their Expert Eyes Brow and Eye Pencils in Charcoal Grey. With the aging boomer population the market for these should have been growing...yet they take out the one color that most of us need. The charcoal grey was really a neutral color that could suit some blondes and brunettes as well as the silver and greys. I felt lucky to find a package of these out there for sale, but paid much more than I would have in a store since the sellers know the the supply has ended.
