Rules scribed in 1/16" and 1/12" along 13" body and 4-1/2" right angle as well as on 8-1/8" adjustable arm. Hip and valley pitch, rule and square measurements on front. Thumb-screws for angle adjustment 45 thru 90. Lever vial located in adjustable arm. Rafter scale for hip and valley or common types. Door sill/window sill pitch settings. A friend had one of the old versions of this. I purchased since I liked his. This one has a cheap plastic part on it and isn't made well at all.

I have owned and used my Mayes Squangle for well over 20 years. It is a great tool with many purposes. I have many different squares and don't use this tool everyday but when I use it I just love the flexibility of it. I don't use the tool much for 90 or 45 degree cuts but for angles between it has great utility. The scale on my Squangle is not perfect, so when I set up an angle I use careful measurement and trigonometry to get an accurate angle. Once I have the angle measured correctly then I set the Squangle to match, clamp the thumb screws and now I have a very repeatable angle measuring/marking device.

The other excellent use I find for this tool is to replicate an angle on an existing item. Loosen the screws, slide the angle to match the item, tighten the screws and now you can replicate the angle perfectly.

Overall I find this tool to be excellent at producing repeatable angles that are not the 45 & 90 degree angles of my tri-square.

I just ran across one of these at a tag sale and had to have due to the novelty and compactness of it. I love it! I didn't even see the level vile in it until I read the description and saw it there.

This tool, at least the one that I have, is all aluminum and rather robust. It's compact size with all the important scales of the rafter square is a huge draw. Anyone that knows tools knows that a rafter square is not something that you put in your tool box or bag and carry along, but this tool will fit right in and go with you anywhere.

I would recommend this to anyone.
