I am an amateur history buff and really enjoyed this little prize of firsts, e.g., stories about the killer Pilgrim, America's first abolitionists, one-eyed Charley(female stage driver)in California, first lady of fitness, Queen Emma's landmark trip (first queen to visit the USA), etc. There's 25 interesting, fun stories - well worth your time for a chance to win at the trivia game. The author has written for numerous magazines and his style is smooth, comfortable reading. This book is great for reading a story between TV shows, while waiting in the doctor's office, or standing in line at the bank. A good one!
