It melts very well and makes an excellent sauce for pastas and meats. I get this blue cheese on my hamburgers, my steaks, I love it in my salads.

Simply put, unless you are importing European blue cheeses nothing produced in the U.S. competes with the quality of Maytag blue cheese.
