5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
This dryer is meeting all my needs. It has so many different cycles and ways to dry and refresh my clothes. I absolutely recommend it to anybody with kids, large volume of clothes, or high usage. It is also very quiet, except the dinging it does when you turn it off and on (haven't figured out how to turn that off), still doesn't wake the baby, even with the laundry...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great dryer - when it works
I purchased this dryer on 9-8-2010 and the first one delivered was defective (it had a defective control panel). The second dryer is now broken (not drying clothes) 4 months later. I don't do that much laundry, so it seems odd there are so many issues with this dryer. The other downside is that it can take days or weeks to get parts to repair it.

When the dryer...

It has a very nice look too. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Good product, ABYSMAL customer service, shortcuts made on key parts..., July 15, 2011

This review is from: Maytag Bravos Series : MEDB800VQ 29 Electric Dryer with SuperSize Capacity Plus - White
Thus far, we'd been quite happy with our two year old Bravos washer and dryer. Just passed the extended warranty about a month ago. The door catch failed shortly thereafter, making the dryer unable to close. I took the catch out - it's a very cheap, extremely lightweight piece of gear. Since the door can be remounted on the other side with a different catch that's already on that side, I switched the door to the other catch until I could order a new part.

Guess what happened? That other catch failed after just 3 uses. Three. THREE! So I called customer service, said I was quite willing to pay for the first part that lasted 2 years...and pay for their (VERY HIGH) $8 shipping and handling for what will cost but maybe $1 at most to ship across the country. However, in my view, having spent nearly $1800 on the washer and dryer and having used this door all of 2 days, that part should last a bit longer.
"Nope, I'm sorry, you're outside of warranty" was the short, curt reply. While this is the case, it is quite shortsighted. I was already going to be charged $13 for parts, S&H that probably cost but $2 to make and ship. So Maytag was already making a profit. Yet the customer service remained unwilling to acknowledge or consider the total lack of quality in the other part. Would have cost maybe a buck to throw in the other part along with an apology for the lack of quality.

I recommend the product, BUT NOT the customer service. IN short, this customer will likely look elsewhere in the future at companies that take pride in their quality and craftsmanship

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy, May 30, 2011

We've had the dryer for a few years and had to call the repairman three times. The dryer has a belt that comes off easily and then the dryer no longer performs its duty - to dry clothes! I've written Maytag to complain and they basically said "too bad". Please do not waste your money on this dryer.
