This part comes with 6 or 8 different styles of plug in the box so you can choose which one fits your model, plus wire nuts, additional plates, insulation and extra wires. No splicing should have been necessary for me but I accidentally put the plug on backwards and once you put a plug on metal wire tips, its on for life so i did end up using the included wire nuts as well. But if you pay more attention than me this is a VERY easy repair
If all had gone well, it would have been
1) unplug oven power (gas can stay on)
2) un-install old ignitor by un-screwing from mounting bracket
3) replace old plate on (inside) back of oven with new one included (my old ignitor was longer than this one so extended through oven wall, a plate included makes up for this)
4) after sticking wires through back of oven put appropriate plug onto wires (watch to make sure you are putting the plug on correctly, reversing the wires does not matter but on mine one side of plug had round holes and one side had 3/4 round, 1/4 flat sided holes)
5) plug new ingitor plug into receiving plug on oven wiring
6) put covers and parts back on and you're good to go

If you do put plug on backwards like me, you can cut plug off old and new ignitors and splice the old one onto the new wires, trying to get the metal tips to release doesn't seem to be possible. Thanks~

easy to install, took less than 20 minutes. I used this ignitor on my Bosch range and it ignites faster than the factory one, which was priced at $90 to replace.
