I was worried about the water leaking through but tested it and am pleased. I hosed the curtain off for 5 seconds before water was even starting to drizzle through the other side. So if you shower like a normal person, you wont have an issue of water seeping through the other side.

Another wonderful thing about this curtain is after you shower, shake the curtain and all the water will easily come off and you don't have to worry about mildew.

All in all, I am very pleased. Not only does this look sleek (I got the black one), it is durable and cheap. You can't go wrong. I wasted so many years with those hideous plastic liners that loved to grow mildew after just a month or so, and will NEVER go back. You can also wash it to make sure it is always fresh.

This curtain uses 12 hooks like all the other ones. It can also double as a regular curtain, it certainly would look nice (but you can practically see through it so it would only be for looks).

After several weeks of use, I am pleased with the shower curtain . Even my husband commented that he liked it:-) It is very light and tends to "fly up" when the window is open. I would have given it 5-stars if the weighted bottom would have been a bit heavier or magnetized. (I put two small fridge magnets on it to keep it down.) It has done a very nice job of keeping the decorative shower curtain dry. I ordered the green and it is very similar to the color in the description.
One reviewer mentioned that it did not have metal "rust-proof" grommets as described . I also assumed it would have metal because it states they are "rust-proof". But the description does not say "metal" and the grommets are rust-proof because they are reinforced button-holes in the fabric:-) So that is not the fault of Amazon--just our assumption when reading "rust-proof":-)Overall, I am very pleased and like the fabric liner far better than the plastic/vinyl liners I used to use. I will only buy fabric liners from now on:-) I would buy this liner again and would recommend it to a friend.

I took a chance on buying this in the hopes that it was the same curtain as seen in [...] but just cheaper. Luckily for me, I'm pretty sure it is - they are awesome. I am using them as actual curtains, surrounding my canopy bed frame so that I can put my 6-month-old down for naps in a darkened and visually non-stimulating environment. They work well for this, and the material is aesthetically very pleasing - a bit sheer but not too much light passes through, a lovely feel and look. After I bought them, I decided to buy more as extras because I know they will come in handy somehow in the near future...

This is a GREAT shower curtain liner! This comes from a person who previously always bought expensive Hotel Collection black fabric shower curtain liners at Bed Bath and Beyond. Hotel Collection no longer seems to make the black fabric liner so I was forced to look elsewhere and glad that I found this Maytex fabric liner on Amazon in black. Black is so hard to find and I had to have it to go with my black tassle shower curtain. You could use this liner alone, as the fabric is nice enough that an outer curtain is not absolutely neccessary. You could also use this liner as a curtain! The fabric of this curtain looks exactly like the Hotel Collection curtain fabric. I cannot tell any difference at all. The Maytex curtain does not have metal grommets and does not have any weights on the corners (like Hotel Collection) but I find that you don't need them and I don't miss them at all. One thing I was worried about was the color bleeding or staining my white tub, as I had read had happened to some people reviewing other brands of this same product. I have had this curtain for 6 months and no staining or bleeding whatsoever. I haven't washed it yet but it is needing a wash at this point. It is so cheap though, I won't feel guilty if I want to get a new one in another 6 months or so. This liner does not leak either- I read Brandon Taylor's review and have to agree with him 100% that if you shower like a normal person, you should not experience an leakage onto your floor. Even if you have kids that like to splash around, it still should not leak at all. One more interesting thing about this curtain: my husband and I have noticed that when you are in the shower, you can see out of it but no one can see you while you're in the shower. Kind of like a one-way mirror. All in all, a great shower curtain for an awesome price!

The curtain is wonderful, and High Quality. However the black curtains do bleed color and stain tubs a purplish red color.

This liner was not waterproof - the shower curtain over it got wet and the water ran all over the floor. The black dye also ran and stained my white tub with black streaks. I am still trying to get the rest of the stains out of the tub. Don't buy it!!!

I love this thing. It is fairly opaque, has a nice feel to it, and is pretty water resistant. It is material, though. So, if you want something that stops water completely, you are in the wrong spot. This allows some water through. You aren't going to have a flood in your bathroom because you used this for a regular shower, but you will if you just point the shower head towards the curtain and wait a long time.

I've been happy with it and think you will if you just want a nice dark shower curtain that is made from material instead of some sort of plastic.

Purchased 2x of these curtains to match my room's decorative colors. I ordered the "smoke" color which this website depicts as gray however the item I've received is very blue --more blue than gray.

Prompt delivery. Item did not meet my expectations. The fabric was very thin and wasn't water repellant. A shower curtain liner should protect the shower curtain from water and this one does not.

I like the look and the fabric type of the shower curtain, but it came up a little short width wise... Had 3 less holes for the hooks than my liner did so now it looks strange.. other than that it's an OK product for the price
