Hello my fellow Christians! My name is Mark Lee and I am 15 years old. Not so long ago, I had not heard much about Avalon except that they wrote an awesome song called "Testify to Love", and from the moment I learned that song was on this CD, I had to get it. But I didn't expect ALL the other songs on the CD to be just as good! Every single song on this CD is excellent in one way or another.

Avalon's fast songs have fun pop beats and great harmonies that make you want to keep listening to them right from the very beginning, plus inspirational lyrics that make me feel proud to be a Christian. "A Maze of Grace", "Speed of Light" and "The Move" are the three best songs to dance to, "Testify to Love" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" are the two best fast worship songs, and "A World Away" and "Forgive and Forget" are the two fast songs with the best lyrics. The former talks about how everyone makes mistakes and does stupid things in life, and now when we look back on ourselves, we see how much we have changed since then. The latter reminds us not to forget that God forgives us for the things we do wrong.

However, the slow songs are just as good. "Adonai" and "Reason Enough" are two worshipful ballads with beautiful, passionate lyrics describing God's awesome love for us. And the last track, "Dreams I Dream For You", is the voice of God talking to the listeners, asking them to live a life according to God's hopes for them.

If there is any flaw at all in this CD, it is that its running time is only a little more than 42 minutes long. This, however, is not even close to being "reason enough" to not buy this CD. With every song featuring richly blended vocals, awesome music, and deep, meaningful lyrics, this is a near-perfect CD that should please just about anyone who likes contemporary Christian music. If you have even the slightest interest in contemporary Christian music--and I can't possibly imagine why you could be reading this review if you don't--buy this CD immediately!

This is the first CD that I have bought from this talented group. I had heard diffferent songs of theirs on mixed CDs that I bought and I thought that I would try one of their albums.

I was incredible blessed by all the songs on this album. Their upbeat music and the harmony of their voices are great.

If I must choose a favourite then it would definitely be "Adonai". I have heard this song sung by Michael Card and it has always been a great blessing to me to worship our 'Adonai'.

'Testify to Love' and 'A Maze of Grace' are amazing as well and the beat to these songs are good enough to dance to.

It is difficult to comment on every song because each one has a beauty of it's own and is uplifting to listen to.

This album has convinced me that I need to add more of their albums to my Christian music collection.

This is a must for all collectors of good Christian music!!

This CD from Avalon isn't their best, but it is very good. Their voices all mix incredibly well and the songs all have good lyrics. About each song -

Testify to Love - great song! The best of the fast songs. I love the lyrics and the beat.

A World Away - another awesome song with a fast beat. Has the best lyrics on the CD and should have probably been the title track.

A Maze of Grace - not the greatest. Weird sounds.

Knockin' on Heaven's Door - has a cool funky sound and is another one of their great fast songs. Great message of what we all need to do.

Adonai - definately my favorite song on the CD. One of the few slow songs, it is truly beautiful. The piano sounds great and the harmony on this song is awesome!

Speed of Light - another fast songs, not one of my favorites.

The Move - yet another fast song with a weird urban beat. Good lyrics but not a song you'd want to listen to over and over.

Reason Enough - a slower song (finally) that has some of the best lyrics on the album. This song is beautiful and it is one of the best.

Forgive and Forget - a nice fast song. Really great.

Dreams I Dream For You - a very pretty slower song. Another great track on this CD.

Overall this is an awesome CD for Christians!

The music of Avalon is so... purifying! The words are very meaningful, the music is awesome, and it somes up with talented singers who praise God! I love this CD. I would reccommend it to anyone! It the music is upbeat, and make you want to listen to it. If you have any doubts on buying it, you really should get it!

This is my second Avalon cd I have bought,and I love it!The first one I got was "Oxygen",and this one,"A Maze Of Grace",is just as good!I think the group looks kinda weird on the cover of the box,but they have beautiful voices and AWESOME Christian songs!Here is a song guide for "A Maze Of Grace":
1.Testify To Love-I have heard this is Avalon`s all-time number one hit,and I certainly see why!This is a beautiful opening song and the group pulled it off terrificly!
2.A World Away-A great jumpy,dancy Christian song!I really like this one!Avalon sounds great singing it together!
3.A Maze Of Grace-I love the lyrics to this song!It also has a good beat to it!
4.Knockin On Heaven`s Door-Possibly my favorite on the whole cd!This song is AWESOME!You`ll love it!
5.Adonai-Beautiful,touching song that talks about our "Adonai"!Sends out a great message!
6.Speed Of Light-Get pumped up after the slow "Adonai" with this song!It has a cool,dancy feeling,and with the lyrics,you`ll be singing along in no time at all!
7.The Move-Reminds me of Jump5`s version of "We Are Family",except a more Christian song!You`ll like this one alot,and love the beat!
8.Reason Enough-Just as good and beautiful as "Adonai"!I love this song!It talks about how we should love the lord because when he died for us,that`s a "reason enough" to trust,love,and worship him!
9.Forgive And Forget-Wow!Great tune!I really like this one alot!Really cool!
10.Dreams I Dream For You-A wonderful ending song!Absolutely adoring and beautiful!This is such a great song!

Released in 1996, Avalon created an album with songs that continue to receive incredible amounts of airplay today. At the time I write this review, hardly a day goes by that I don't hear "Testify to Love" and "Adonai" at least once, and often more, on the local Christian radio station. This is a testimony to how powerful these songs are.

In addition to the two above, "A Maze of Grace" and "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" are great songs worth listening to over and over.

Avalon has a great sound and tremendous harmonies, which allow them to be able to go from a faster tune like "Testify to Love" to a slow, ballad like "Adonai" without losing anything. You can hear the beliefs and love that Avalon has for the Father in all of their songs, which is one of the reasons why I believe they are so popular. Many people may not realize it, but they do at least subconciously pick up on it while listening to this album.

No sooner were we allowing the echoes of "Give It Up" die down in our heads, along comes "Testify to Love" from the upbeat and more energetic "A Maze of Grace" CD. Avalon experimented with an electronic dance sound on this CD, and despite some of the complaints of the other critics, I think it worked quite well for them. Do not get me wrong, it is still pure pop, but credit must be given to the group and to the producers for trying a slightly more aggressive style this time around.

After bouncing joyfully through the danceable first four tracks ("Testify to Love," "A World Away," "A Maze of Grace," and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"), it almost seems to be a bummer when "Adonai" starts. However, "Adonai" may prove to be the most powerful song on the CD. There is a reason why it was one of the top inspirational songs of 1998. The next five songs consist of two more ballads ("Reason Enough" and "Dreams I Dream for You") and three faster songs ("Speed of Light," "The Move," "Forgive + Forget").

With all of these songs clocking in close to the four-minute range, this CD paces through quickly. Once again, the showcasing of powerful vocals, good song selection, and slick production make this a stand-out pop CD in any genre. Avalon further endears themselves to our hearts and to our ears.

I bought this one day in a Christian bookstore just by listening to a little bit through the headphones. Now it is one of my favorite CDs of all time! I saw them in concert with Crystal Lewis a few months after I bought it, and then I had to go buy their first CD Avalon, too. I recommend that one too if you liked "A Maze of Grace." The music is great on its own, but I appreciate the Christian lyrics as well! I highly recommend AVALON to anyone who loves music and the Lord!

Avalon's music may come across very sanitized and polished to some. However, the intensity and heart-felt rendering of the songs here leaves nothing to be desired. This album has a good mix of upbeat songs and slower numbers that cover areas of christian living (Tesify To Love, Forgive & Forget, Knocking on Heaven's Door), intimacy with God (Adonai, Maze Of Grace) and reflective wonder, past and present (A World Away, Speed Of Light, The Move, Dreams I Dream For You).

Good and consistent collection of songs throughout - the kind of album that does not encourage you to hit the skip button.

Testify To Love is the best song on this CD. I'm in a puppet group at church and we did this song on Puppet Sunday. It was great. The whole CD has a strong message of hope and strenghth. This is a must buy.
