Mazes, Mazes, Mazes,

We bought this book for our 4 year old son for a long road trip. He loved it! The publisher suggests a reading age of 9-12, but that's only for the directions on each maze (most of which are self explanatory). I would highly recommend this for maze enthusiasts in the 4-7 age range.

Good but aimed at the wrong age group,

Younger children will enjoy this book but its mazes have the same look as many free mazes on the web. Do your homework on this book before you want to shell out the money. In my opinion, this book is for children aged 3-7.SC-RG

I use this book with my elementary school-aged students to work on their perceptual motor skills. I like this book because it has a variety of levels of difficulty from which to choose. There are easy mazes for beginning students, and more difficult overlapping mazes for a more serious challenge. In addition, some of the mazes require the use of problem-solving skills in order to follow the written directions. My students love mazes, and enjoy completing the ones found in this book.

They Try a Little to Hard,

I got this book because my son (who is 7) loves mazes. He likes some of the mazes in the book, but the writers were trying too hard to be creative, and forgot that the fun part about solving a maze is not the fun pictures, but the maze itself. There are some mazes we can't even figure out how to do. Nice effort, but we just wanted some good mazes. While it is nice that they tried to be creative, we could have done without that part. Next time, I would recommend just doing some cute pictures on the side or changing around the reason for getting through the maze (mouse looking for cheese, girl trying to find her pet, kid needs to find something in a messy room...).

Even Fun for an "Old" Lady,

This review is from: Mazes, Mazes, Mazes (Paperback)
The kids are grown and gone, and I've been cleaning out all the "stuff" around here. I came across this book which only had a couple of the mazes solved, so I did them myself. Some of them are very simple and some are so hard that I didn't know how to start, so I glanced at the answer in the back of the book for a hint. I really enjoyed this book. Many of the mazes are challenging enough for an adult, the colors are beautiful, and the paper is not the usual recycled newsprint type of paper that's found in most puzzle books. High quality, very nice. I ripped out some of the pages, so I don't know how many pages there are before the mazes start, but the last maze is on page 56. That's a lot of mazes!

Mazes??,

My daughter is 5 and she is a maze freak... this book however proved a little difficult for her. She likes the mazes but some of them are hard to tell where the lines are at..Also some need more specific instructions such as dont go under or over the lines that cross (Rocking Rollers Maze) Surfs Up and Raining Cats and Dogs were also mazes my daughter had difficulty with because of the less defined boarders of the maze. However i am reviewing the book in the eyes of a 5 year old little girl so take that in mind...
