This progam has been nothing but trouble for me from the start. I can not get the product registered and my it has caoused my email to operate slowly. I should have purchased the Norton 2009 Protection. If I could get my money back I would. Do not buy this product.

In the trend towards simplicity in applications, Web sites, and devices, such as the iPod, the complexity of this McAfee product is as beguiling as the messages it delivers up with high frequency. McAfee expects you to learn the two dozen or so settings for how you want the product to operate, which your tempted to master only to (unsuccessfully) stop its incessant messages popping up.

A 30 day version of this came with a Dell computer. It is so "desirable" that Dell actually charged more to not install it!
It keeps claiming that the Virus scan has been disabled (without giving a reason), then if you manually force it to look for updates (when there are none) it turns virus scanning back on. A good virus scanner should be silent until a virus is found. This one whines so much that that you might not know if a real problem occurred. I can't figure out what the firewall portion does that the built in windows firewall doesn't already do.

I should have looked up the reviews on the PC Magazine website before paying so much for something that didn't work. I had multiple spywares and other malwares that were not found by McAfee. It made my computer run very slow too. I now have 2 malware programs and both do not make my computer half as slow as McAfee.
