After being unhappy with ZoneAlarm for a few annoying flaws, I dumped it and tried Norton's Virusscan. They have a trial demo you can download online. But Norton caused some crashes when I was surfing with Firefox. Mostly it don't like certain firefox plugins.

Then I ordered McAfee. It arrived quickly. It installed easily. And now it's working beautifully. No problems at all.

I have used other products in the past to try something else besides McAfee, but nothing even comes close to the best protection, for the best price. This program has an easy to use interface, it doesn't use as much resources as other programs, and it's firewall, virus, and network protection with alerts, keeps me informed if the constant changes to my computer. The Site Advisor lets me know if I am on a true site or fake site used for phishing. I would highly suggest that you get this product.

For me this is the easiest system to load and use and covers all that I personally need for my computer. Have used this product for the past 3 years.

I just wish that I wouldn't get those annoying pop up's that continually remind me that "your computer is not fully protected". Of course my computer is protected, I bought this product! Anyway, everything works fine. Only other glitch would be when I bought this product it came with a "rebate" that I have yet to receive....hmmmm.... I've contacted McAfee and have been given a "number to call". Why advertise rebates if you end up having to jump through multiple hoops in order to receive them?

My experience with VirusScan Plus has been good so far. I had a little trouble installing it and had to contact online customer support, but the wait time was minimal (less than 9 minutes) and they were able to send me a link to uninstall McAfee and reinstall it. Now it's working like a charm. I tried CA and Norton and so far this one seems to work the best.

After 4 weeks playing with the product and trying to resolve the installation issue still can not get a live support unless you pay $2.95 per minute. When I called the customer service, they asked me to consider them once more and they gave a direct number to call. Guess What? The number linked to the same number as before and no support again. So I am returning this product. Save your money.

Since this problem seems to occur everywhere, I assume that McAfee has given up on fixing their product. Do a Google search on McAfee "Your computer is not fully protected" and count how many users are complaining and how many have said that they contacted McAfee without any help what-so-ever.

I bought the McAfee VirusScan 2008 one month ago,strong anti-virus program ,a little heavy on PC during the opening of some programs ,generally strong program & recommend .

I found it to be one of the best anti-viruses in less price....it keeps my computer safe while I am surfing the net, when I am on network and prompts me wherever it feels the app i am accessing may be harmful for my laptop which is cool...the only small issue that I see with this is it made my laptop a bit slow at the time of restart and opening any app for the first time, may be it scans that app internally before it opens it....but overall a good deal..

I have had no problems with this product. I would say it was a good buy
