I use this product whan I make Honey Jalapeno ribs. Gives a nice mild smoke flavor. Great price on this also.

This is hard to find on grocery shelves. Thank goodness McCormick is producing it now. I look forward to using it in several recipes.
I bought it for Chocolate Chile Mole Brownies -- which were received with skepticism until tasted. Then there were rave reviews. I've downloaded other dessert recipes using ground ancho chile pepper, but in the meantime, we've learned it really does a good job of flavoring chili without making it unbearably hot. Good product.

If you love chiles then ancho powder is a must have for any blends you may create. I recommend with chipotle powder. Try different peppers in different amounts for amazing results.

The problem with Ancho chili is its scarcity in commercial markets. We don't have ready recourse to a decent Mexican mercado, a sadness, so I turned to Amazon. There is simply something wonderful combining Ancho and maple syrup for a splendid porc chop sauce, for example. I'm grateful. So are the happy palates around here.
