Far superior to others in its price range. Has an auto chain stop (which I also use as a "safety" to ensure I don't unintentionally start it before I'm ready), has an automatic oiler (others are manual), the handle is comfortable (some others have plastic parting lines w/ rough edges under your fingers), plenty of power, and hand grips where you need them. It even sounds better than others - like a well-built instrument.

I had an earlier model which died from extended heavy use while severely pruning a big tree; the baseplate to which the gears and motor are mounted was just plastic and it warped from the accumulated heat. I expect this model is built similarly, so don't over-use it and you'll be very happy.

Very simply, my husband absolutely loved this chainsaw - he felt as if slicing through butter - very quiet/smooth/quick. In addition, the price/shipping service provided by Amazon CANNOT BE BEAT !

Saw is Powerful, well made, and very easy to operate/maintain, probable the best electric chain saw in this price range.

Over weighted for cutting above shoulder. In the backyard, 14" may be the best choice.

I picked this up after a early snow storm that brought down a number of branches. So far I'm very happy with the saw, it feels well built and is easy to operate. The one thing to watch out for is that you need to purchase chain saw chain oil before you can use the product. Oil is not included with this package. You can pick up a bottle at a local hardware store. For the money you can't beat this saw.

Be sure you do not use saw for limits other than what it was made for.

I used mine for an extended period of time and destroyed the motor. The saw is a good product, just use it according to directions.

I used this machine to cut down a number of small to medium sized trees in my yard. I worked great without any problems. I didn't want a noisy gas powered model for what is only going to be occasional light duty use, and this electric model worked fine. Make sure you buy chainsaw oil so you can use it out of the box when it comes.

This saw is a solid performer. It is easy to adjust the chain tension, fix the chain if it jumps off of the bar, is quiet, and plenty powerful for whatever tasks a "normal" yardworker might do.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the chain and bar oil leaks out of the reservoir over time. It doesn't make a very big mess, but it's enough to annoy me. Make sure you put a good stack of newspapers underneath this chainsaw when you store it.

I was very satisfied with this saw. I used it to take down a tree in my back yard that was probably about 20 inches in diameter and 25 feet high. It performed this job without a hitch. The chain adjustment process is very user friendly and I never got the feeling that the chain had dulled. Just be sure that you keep the cord away from where you are cutting and don't forget to buy the chain lube at your local store before starting the job to save you a trip, as there is no lube included with the saw. All in all not bad for a $55 electric chainsaw.

I bought this as a replacement for an older model of the same type & make. This one has some much improve features & I expect it to give quality service as did my older model.

Bought a Poulan Woodshark to cut up some fallen trees in my yard. After the first use, I had trouble getting it started and keeping it running. Now, just ten months later, it won't start at all.

So I decided to give the McCulloch electric model a try, and other than trying to keep the cord out of my way, it's 100-percent better. It's self-oiling, it slices with ease, and I had no problem doing some moderate pruning. I should have bought one of these the first time.

You can't beat Amazon's price/shipping and if you're not doing heavy, heavy work, this is a great option.
