I am currently preparing for the VTNE for the second time, with only on the job experience,and this book. It has really helped me learn large animal and improve on my weak points. I feel very confident in taking this next test with the help of co workers and this AMAZING Book!! I will recommend it to anyone looking to take the Exam or just learn, there is amazing information in this book and well worth the money spent!

I had the 3rd edition in college in 98...this one is about five times better and encompasses things the others did not. Impressive to say the least. Should be very helpful. Loved the fact that this book comes with MANY links to many organizations and such. There is much to love about this book. I also like the fact that this book is helping to bridge the gap between lab animal people associated with AALAS with the small animal technician communities.

I am a student of Veterinary Technology and was looking for a book which would give me a leg up on my studies. I find this book very informational as well as filled with great photos to enhance my learning experience. I highly recommend signing up for the on-line version which you receive free with your purchase. It comes with labs and more details and learning aides which put this book in the five star category.

if you use this book along with the large text book you are guaranteed to pass the vtne. This is a workbook that goes with the hardcover and you must read the hardcover in order to get the answers...

Book is precise and complete but the volume is too heavy. This book needs to be broken down into two volumes. Had for only a month and spine is already weak.

Excellent book - bought it for my step-daughter who is gradually merging into the veterinary field. she is constantly referring to it both in practice and at home. highly recommended
