I have self diagnosed myself as having achilles tendonitis. It started with basketball and now affects me with soccer and tennis. I am 35. I started getting this at 30 and it has been getting progressively worse. I get it in both legs. I have been wearing the support strap for the last couple weeks when I play soccer on Monday night on my right ankle and that ankle seems to be improving. Although I had to get new shin guards since my old ones had a strap didn't fit with the Achilles Tendon strap.

Lowering from 4 to 2 stars because I have 2 of these now and for one of them the strap doesn't stay closed.

I bought the Protec ones since the strap wouldn't stay closed on these. Protec ones are much better - the strap doesn't open up.

Purchased this product and found the velcro closure would not stay fastened.....so I returned the product which is always annoying!

I teach aerobics classes and had to take six weeks off from all weight-bearing activity due to achilles tendonitis in both legs. I purchased these braces to alleviate some of the stress I was placing on the tendons when I started teaching again. They provide great support to the tendons and have worked extremely well. I don't have any problems with keeping the supports closed - the velcro is very strong and stays tight. I won't teach again without these braces - a wonderful investment to help protect my achilles tendons.

Gave immediate relief to the injured tendon...but make sure to remove before too much time passes as it will cause an "ache" from being on too long -
