The Worst CTS Brace EVER,
By
This review is from: Mcdavid Carpal Tunnel Wrist Support (Sports)
I have been using different CTS braces for 14 years now. Ive had very bad CTS since I was a kid and have had to sleep with these braces at night in order to function normally. I was looking to try a different one than the common Futuro or Mueller ones everyone else uses. So I bought this one. Let me just say DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ONE!! It has no breathability, and it is thick, so it soaks up your sweat (and you will sweat like a pig with this on, trust me), and then it smells rancid after a day or 2. Secondly the thumb hole is TINY. I am left with bruises every morning that do not go away throughout the day, i am a 28 year old normal guy, and this thing is not built for people with normal man sized hands. Finally the velcro sticks to this neoprene like outer shell, which is not the typical hook and loop velcro style. Therefore the neoprene stuff just wears out and eventually gets to be like fuzz and the velcro just doesnt stick to it anymore. I have gotten about 2-3 months use out of this, whereas the Futuros and Muellers usually last me a year+. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Trust me on this, if there is something I know, it is CTS wrist braces. I literally can not function w/o them.

...the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because only after just a couple months of use, the velcro area has worn down to the point that it makes the brace almost useless.
I have to keep moving the strap to a newer area of velcro to try and keep it from sliding off.

One size does not fit all,
This review is from: Mcdavid Carpal Tunnel Wrist Support (Sports)
Purchased this from a local sport shop chain. As other post pointed out it is incredibly tight around the thumb. Returned it earlier today and after having it off for 9 hours still have a mark on my hand just below the thumb. Very Poor design. Didn't breathe well and could see the velcro failing in the near future.

This product provides good support to your wrist area. Personally, I was suffering from De Quervain's Syndrome, which is basically an inflammation of the thumb's tendon. Even though this product is not designed specifically for De Quervain's, but rather for Carpal Tunnel, it still provided good support and helped me. When you need any area of your wrist to be mostly static and can't afford to have a bulky piece on your arm, this is the product for you. I would recommend it from my own experience with it.

Comfort and support!,

After trying some other braces this one is by far my favorite. There is a support bar on the bottom, but not on top, so there is a small range of motion available if wrapped loosely. It still provides good support if you wrap it tightly. Some of the other braces irritated or even seemed to bruise me, but this one is very comfortable. I highly recommend this brace for its quality, comfort, and support.

I had solid wrist pain mainly because the way I used to rest my palm on mouse and on keyboard.
I bought three different products and this one was the only one which 0. Your hands do feel rested, and better after wearing them for few hours. 1. Doesnt bother your hand much when you are wearing it. 2. *** Allows you to type and use mouse as freely as I would have used otherwise. *** 3. Has decent enough look that I wont be embarrassed wearing it. Only con I guess is, it is little on costly side but I guess manufacturer already know that they are in premium segment. :) Description : This one has a metal rod surrounded by some fabric with a rubbery/stretchable locking system .. Shipping : Arrived on time as promised.
